Reelika Senior Tour Guide

Tour Guide

Reelika spent years living abroad proclaiming the existence and awesomeness of E-stonia to random passers-by. We realized this might be a good trait for a tour guide and convinced her to come to Tallinn to do the same.

Reelika's degree in linguistics will make her sound credible when she claims Tolkien's Elvish to be based on Estonian. She is not professional in Elvish yet, but she is constantly learning whatever language might be in her way during her travels.

Even though she is one of those non-blonde Estonians, she is a lot more Estonian than you'd think. Reelika is generally seen just leaving a smoke sauna, eating black bread or missing her seaside childhood home; all of which are the most Estonian things ever.

One of Reelika's biggest dreams is to hike the whole el Camino of Estonia – a 370km hiking trail from Oandu in northern Estonia to Ikla on the border of Latvia. Mostly, Reelika is not preparing for a hike though, but relaxedly enjoying a coffee or getting into metaphysical conversations and beers in Tallinn's trendiest hipster cafes and bars.

"Highlight was the Murru prison quarry"

Coastal Cliffs & Soviet Paldiski, I did the tour on Sunday the 29th of May, our guide was 'Relika' (phonetically spelled). She was very knowledgeable, and could answer all my questions about the Paldiski area and Estonian history in general. Lovely and polite person too. Highlight for me was Murru prison quarry, very surreal landscape. Thanks!

"Highly recommended"

I've had an interesting, very well organized and informative tour to Narva with a wonderful guide Reelika! Before Narva we saw also Kohtla-Jarve, Sillamae, an old train station and a factory, a ghost town, a tank T-34, a lot of industrial things that I like so! I'm Russian but it was very interesting to see this part of a post soviet territory! We were only 5 and Reelika drive us in a car herself. It was a excellent day!!!!
