"Fun trip"
We had a lot of fun on our way from Riga to Tallinn with the bus from Riga to Tallinn. We had a private tour for our friends group, and the day just flew by. We would gladly repeat the experience.
"Great way to travel between Riga and Tallin"
We recently took a the tour bus from Riga to Tallinn, and it was a pleasant experience. The journey showcased the Baltic countryside beautifully, making the ride enjoyable. The car was comfortable, and the driver provided interesting insights about various landmarks. With several stops along the way, we had the chance to explore some charming small towns.
"Fun informative tour"
I enjoyed my trip to Tallin with this tour. It was nice to get to stop in several smaller towns along the way. Our guide was enthusiastic and willing to answer any questions we had about the Baltics.
"Great Activity"
This is a fantastic way to travel from Riga to to Tallinn. One day, seeing numerous sites and stories told by Laura, a very energetic, amusing, knowledgeable lady. Felt lucky to enjoy her company on both this trip, and Vilnius to Riga
"Fun Tour with Chatty Laura"

Very well organized ,probably castels ,cities that normally you don’t visit ,with space for amusement, time spent good enough and balanced ,guide very professional able to create a good atmosphere
"Very friendly and informative."
Did two tours, both with Laura, would highly recommend, using this company. Everything was well organised and very informative.
"Great day"
Great tour, great guide (ivar). A great way to travel between Riga and Tallinn..
"100% Recommend"
I recently had the incredible opportunity to embark on a tour that surpassed all my expectations in terms of price, activities, and overall experience. This adventure took us on a journey through the enchanting Latvian and Estonian countryside, and it was so much more than just a typical point A to point B excursion. Our day began with a thrilling climb up the Soviet-era Bobsleigh track in Sigulda. From there, we ventured to the medieval Old Town of Cēsis, the charm of this place was absolutely captivating. One of the highlights of the tour was our hike along the sandy cliffs of Sietiņiezis in the Gauja National Park. The natural beauty of this location left me in awe, and the opportunity to connect with nature in such a pristine environment was unforgettable. Our journey continued as we visited the Estonian history and military museum in Valga. We also had lunch here. The tour concluded in the romantic town of Viljandi, where we explored its charming streets and the crumbling crusader castle. It was the perfect ending to a day filled with discovery and adventure. However, what truly set this tour apart was Laura's amazing energy and expertise. She kept us entertained throughout the entire journey, answering all our questions and providing a wealth of information about the Baltic states. Her passion for the region was contagious, and it added an extra layer of depth to our experience. I can't stop raving about this tour. The price was incredibly reasonable for the wealth of experiences it offered. From the thrilling adventures to the historical sites and the incredible energy of our guide Laura, this tour is an absolute must for anyone looking to explore the beauty and history of Latvia and Estonia. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all travellers seeking a memorable and enriching experience.
"Highly recommend "
We absolutely loved the Riga to Tallinn tour, it was insightful and allowed us to see the countryside and small local towns which we wouldn't have experienced otherwise. Hanna-Liia was very knowledgeable, friendly and shared so much history with us.
"great trip"
The guide Kris was excelent! Great trip!
"Super tour"
Excellent way to see lots of places. Loved the Bob sleigh track the most. Military museum was just ok. Lunch beautiful.
"Great value for money"
Very nice experience, very nice and knowledgeable guides. The tour was a great opportunity to know more about Latvia ans Estonia, especially the countryside and the nature and to discover place we weren't able to do it on our own
"Best way to see the Baltics!"
We booked the Riga to Tallinn sight-seeing tour. There were a total of six passengers which made the ride very comfortable. Laura was our amazing guide. She is very energetic and fun. It is obvious she loves her country and her job. She gave us a lot of history of both Latvia and Estonia and all of the stops along the way. She also shared with us some restaurant recommendations for Tallinn which we used and very much enjoyed both restaurants. Thank you, Laura and Traveller Tours!
"A great way to get from Riga to Tallinn"
The trip was made exceptionally enjoyable by our guide Laura. Her effusive personality and deep love for the Baltics made the trip a special experience to listen to personal anecdotes that brought alive the culture and history of the Baltics. The pace of the itinerary was well thought out and the stops covered a good variety of nature, history and culture, making it a very convenient way to see smaller attractions outside of the cities that is not that accessible with public transportation. Highly recommend the tour to fellow travellers who are touring the Baltics.
"Excellent way of travel from Riga to Tallinn"
We booked a private tours for my parents (in their 60s) and I to travel from Vilnius - Riga - Tallinn. We took the Vilnius - Riga tour first, then this tour Riga - Tallinn. Our tour guide for this tour was Mike, he was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable at the locations we visited. The trip was such a great experience, I'd highly recommend this to anyone. Zero complain.
"Good visit "
We drove with two other passengers. Good conversations. Stoped at many interesting sites. The military museum was unnecessary. The two castles and national park and bobsled track were wonderful. The total trip, though, took too long. A little less time at some places would be good. We left at 9 am and arrived 9pm. An hour earlier would have been better. Mike was a good guide and fun company.
"Lynx, FA, Secret, Rexona... Use one please"
Tour was fantastic, the guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and able to engage the group very easily. However, some deodorant and/or a change of t-shirt wouldn't go astray.
"Great tour!! "
Very enjoyable trip- great walk in the national park and Mike was really knowledgable :) lunch stop was lovely and we especially enjoyed the in car sing-a-longs! Thanks for a fabulous day!
"Informative and Fun"
We took the trip on August 26th and it was well worth it as was the trip from Vilnius to Riga. There is temptation to just see the 3 Baltic capitals but this is a mistake. These trips enable you to see more of the 3 countries. This tour had 5 different u Interesting stops plus an excellent lunch at a brewery. Mike the guide was excellent. Highly recommended
"great tour, great guide, well spend time"
12 hours maybe sound long but it was really worth it, we saw interesting places where we would not have get on our own, the guide told good stories, lunch was delicious
"Fantastic way to travel between Latvia and Estonia"
Our guide / driver was excellent, would highly recommend. Numerous stops along the way, their is some light hiking involved so this trip is not suitable for mobility issues. Would a recommend bringing snacks and water, it is a very long 12h day. The lunch stop was superb after crossing border to Estonia however this comes late in the day 2-3pm.
"A great way to travel in the Baltic countries"
Just as presented and reviewed, this tour is a great way to discover Baltic countries while travelling from one capital to the other. Mikelis was both fun and a very instructive guide.
"Very knowledgeable and genuine guide "
We enjoyed the tour so much! Michael pur guide was very passionate and knowledgeable about the history of his country and estonia. He also added personal touches like singing and personal stories. We enjoyed very much everything . The best way to travel to Tallin. Thank you!!!!!
"R to T tour "
Well done, interesting, nice way to go between cities. Thank you
"A worthy tour that deepened our appreciation of the countries "
It was a great tour that allowed us to better understand the history and culture of the people of Latvia and Estonia. The tour guide gave useful info on historical events, was funny, and was evident that he was proud of his country. We were impressed by his singing at the venue where the Singing Revolution took place. Bravo.
"Great tour, great guide"
The tour was great. A big shoutout to our guide Mike: he was awesome! He told us many stories about Latvia and Estonia, helped us understanding better the history of these 2 countries, he narrated folk stories about the places we visited, he explained different type of plants and vegetation, etc. he is very knowledgeable and he is also talented: he sang for us a popular song at Viljandi! ( he’s a great at singing!). His English is excellent. The tour was well organized with a good balance between driving time and visiting places. Although the trip is from 9:00 to 21:00, the time went by quickly. Everything was perfect, the only thing I would change is the stop at the War Museum. Although the content is interesting ( and Mike did a great job in explaining things and even shared family stories regarding the Soviet occupation of Latvia) the displays at the museum need some improvement ( the dummies in uniform were a bit outdated) Probably, more time in the nature would be better.
"Amazing day trip "
We did the Riga-Tallinn sightseeing tour and it was great. We got to see small local towns that we never would’ve known about normally. Our guide Mike was fantastic, and had loads of interesting information on the areas visited.
"Pleasant countryside tour"
Had a great tour between Riga and Tallin. Got to learn about the history of the Baltics from a local. Got to see parts of the countryside I wouldn’t have been able to see on a motor transfer. Well worth the price/time. Was great to have a tour from someone who was so passionate about his countries History.
"Highlight of our trip"
We did the Riga to Tallinn sightseeing tour. Guide Mikelis took us for a long day full of sightseeing. We departed on time, the guide was there to greet us. The van was spacy, and very comfortable. We were so glad that we could participate, to enjoy the countryside and to see so much more of both Latvia and Estonia. Started at the bobsleigh track which was fun because we could walk down the track on foot. Soooo funny. The national park with the limestone cliffs was crazy beautiful. The guide explained a lot, let us taste some herbs in nature and he even sang for us. The towns of Cesis and Viljandi both were lovely. Had the opportunity to have lunch in a great restaurant in Valga. For us the least Intresting part was the military museum. But the highlight of the day was that we saw a wild brown bear near the woodlands, just beside the road. Incredible!!!!!! Mikelis was also so sweet to make a stop so I could photography one of the many many stork nests near the farms. I cannot recommend this tour enough, but it wouldn't have been as much fun as we didn't had this fantastic guide Mikelis.Thumbs up guys, keep on the good work!
"Excellent way to travel between capitals"
My partner and I took the Riga to Tallinn tour and the journey was not only very comfortable but also so much fun and full of information. Sten, our guide was so knowledgeable and funny and we had great conversations all the way! This was probably the best guided tour we took in the area so we recommend it highly.
"Awesome Tour"
This tour was great fun and probably the best way to travel from Riga to Tallinn (or vice versa). Stan was an awesome guide and telled us a lot fun stories and a lot about history. I recommend this tour to anyone travelling the Baltics.
"Great ride!"
This was the perfect way to travel and not waste a whole day in a car or plane. We got to see things that we would have never stopped for. Really enjoyed it!
"A great way to get between Riga and Tallinn"
A much better way to get between the two cities, exploring multiple different locations that you would not have seen if you had just travelled directly between the two cities. Castles a plenty, but my personal favourite was walking down the bobsled track - have certainly never done that before!
"What a beautiful day!"
A melting-pot of humor, history and nature. Sten is very nice and interesting. A travel to experience !
"Great tour crossing the border from Latvia to Estonia"
We are proud to be one of the first on tour after Corona shutdown. Our guide was a big help exploring the country. We've got a lot of insider information about history, country and people. Safe driver.
"Riga to Tallinn July 2020"
A perfect way to travel between the Baltic Capitals. Transportation, sightseeing and a skilled driver & guide in one package. Nice road trip with stops at nice spots along the road in a brand new wan.
"A very nice and educational way to get from A to B"
In the morning when we arrived at the location the tour guide was all ready and good to go. The tour van was comfortable and had nice airconditioning. The tour guide even brought some extra water with her for us. Our tour guide was very excited and energetic, even though it was early in the morning. She also has a good sense of humour. She told us a lot about all kinds of stuff not only history of Latvia and Estonia but also some funny facts about Riga, Estonia and Tallinn. The stops underway are very welcome, not just for stretching your legs but they're also at very nice places where you wouldn't go at first. Liine showed us some sick berry plucking skills. Also the delicious lunch at an extraordinary restaurant was a nice surprise. It is highly recommended to take this tour. You won't be sorry.
"One of our favourite adventures! "
Great day with a fantastic guide. Also had the bonus of meeting some other lovely people on our trip. A fab way to get from one city to the next, whilst getting all the charm of small towns and enjoying some nature. Highly recommend!
"Weekend trip "
An excellent trip travelling theough Latvia and Estonia. We thoroughly enjoyed it and our guide Anders was informative friendly but never over-imposing.
"Excellent! "
Andreas was a fantastic tour guide. Exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. I would highly recommend.
"Fun and informative!"
This tour is a perfect way to engage with other travellers, see multiple sites, enjoy great local food and drinks and learn all-sorts of facinating facts about the locality and history of both countries.
"Wunderbar"
10/10 - would do again.
"Fun and informational!!"
Our guide Anna was knowledgeable, fun and informational . Despite the shortness of daylight and one of the museums being closed our day was full. The park with the sand cliffs was a nice hike and break from driving. A trip well worth taking to see the country side of Latvia and Estonia. We appreciated Anna helping with directions to our apartment in Tallinn!
"Great"
Good ride & nice stories.
"Learn about the country and culture"
The best tour ever made. Apart from the interesting stops during the trip we learned a lot from our guide. He explained very well the history of Latvia and Estonia. But also give us an insight of the culture and the way Estonian people express themselve. Thank you very much for this wonderfull trip. I would recommend it to everyone, as a must have done.
"Touring in Winter"
We are seniors and enjoyed this trip, the guide/driver was both entertaining and knowledgeable. We prefer to travel in winter so the tourist numbers are manageable, no queues etc however the down side of this tour is that the sites we stopped at were either closed or we arrived in darkness. The nature walk in Gauja National Park was excellent we arrived during daylight so we explored extensively in the time we had. The Valga military museum was closed but our guide had telephoned ahead and the curator opened the doors to us. It was really interesting a snap shot of what happened in the Soviet era. About ½ hours drive from the Tallinn drop off we visited, in pitch dark the remnants of a castle? We couldn’t take pictures so we don’t really have a record. FYI we travelled Vilnius to Riga by Express LUX bus as the sightseeing tour bus was not available, it was very cheap. €28 single. Punctual and comfortable with Wi-Fi and movies. Frankly we would have cancelled the Riga-Tallinn trip if we had taken the Vilnius - Riga sightseeing tour bus. I bet this is a most lively trip in summer with a full bus! We are glad we did it!
"Great tour"
Great day, only the four of us on the tour as nobody else booked on it which was great, we were able to be picked up at our hotel instead of having to travel across half the city. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the sites he took us two and was not shy of getting into character. Tom/Paul/Dorothy/Harry
"Great way to see the countrysides of Latvia and Estonia and learn a lot about them!"
This trip was so much fun. We stoped at the Olympic bobsled track, which was awesome, hiked through part of a national park next to a river, stopped at a war museum and a couple of interesting towns. Lunch was at a local cafe. Our guide was informative and a fun road trip driver. My husband and I really enjoyed our day - long but fun!
"Excellent Tour"
Interesting and very convenient way to travel between Riga to Tallinn! Highly recommended!
"fun way to travel over land"
well organised, some stops less interesting, like the last castle / walls.
"Truly the way to travel to Tallinn or Riga"
We had a great time on the trip. You can really see and enjoy the country side. We loved the bobsled track and the forest hike along with the other stops, except for maybe the military museum. I think that took a little bit away from the trip in truth. They would do better to skip it.
"Exactly what I hoped it would be"
I wanted to see a bit more of the Baltic states, while travelling between the capitals. This was the perfect way to do that. The guide gave interesting background information and we had cool stops along the way. Also the place where we could have lunch was very tasty.
"Exceptional tour guide"
A very well organized tour/travel from Riga to Tallin with knowledgable and perfect-english speaking guide. And he drives the van very well, carefully and comfortably. Places visited gave a really good impression of both Latvia and Estonia and the history of both countries.
"A very enjoyable trip"
I really enjoyed this tour. Weather apart (it was raining heavily most of the time) I had the chance to see some spectacular autumn landscapes of rare beauty. We also visited an old town and a small museum - this last one was a bit outdated, but our guide Andres explained lots of interesting facts about Estonian history. I felt like I really learnt something, as I don't normally like the mere passive sightseeing, knowledge is important too! A big thank to Andres who is a great guide and a person who I really enjoyed to talk with.

"An amazing journey across Latvia and Estonia. Estonia"
Five destinations in a day to know amazing fall landscapes, included a rare gem in Valga, the war museum. More than a transfer between Riga and Tallinn sharing experiences with a group of maximum 8 people. We were driven and assisted by Daumants, a brilliant young Latvian that had to be till late with us as we had got a little stop at a gas station and because of the rain he was so kind of leaving us beside our hotel in Tallinn. Thank you Daumants!
"Great Tour and Wonderful Guide"
We had a great time on our tour from Riga to Tallinn. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. We enjoyed this tour a lot and highly recommend it. Thanks a lot.
"Informative, scenic and well managed."
Anna was welcoming, warm and clear. The long tour had a good balance of traveling, walking, history and explanation. The meal stop was memorable. We learned a huge amount about Latvia and Estonia during the day.
"Fascinating history"
I really enjoyed the tour. Sten gave interesting and passionate backgrounds and histories of both Latvia and Estonia. Lunch was wonderful and pickup/drop off went as planned. I HIGHLY recommend this affordable trip. It was great to see the countryside.
"Great experience, nice way to travel Riga-Tallin"
The whole trip seems short visiting the small towns and medieval castles, nice trecking and lunch stop with a very motivated and cheerful guide.
"Wonderful Baltic Experience"
A wonderful way to see parts of Latvia and Estonia you wouldn't get to see otherwise. Also a great way to meet other people. Our guide was lovely and had so much energy. Would highly recommend this tour.
"Authentic Baltic State Experience "
The trip increased our understanding of this region and the tour guide Lamas was extremely informative and helpful. Instead of big cities, we loved the rural countryside and small towns we passed through. The ride was comfortable. A suggestion would be to streamline stops at sites to allow more daylight in the last two hour segment, especially at this time of year. We are older and Lamas was understanding of our needs.
"Beautiful Baltics"
This tour was my favorite activity for the 2 weeks I spent in the Baltics. I loved the variety of places we visited, from ancient castles to a national forest, and the restaurant where we stopped for lunch was great. Sten was very knowledgeable, very proud of his ancestry and country, and very attentive to the group’s needs.
"Enjoyable tour"
Sten was very passionate and informative - he answered all our questions and made our day very enjoyable, despite the cold and wet weather. The highlight of our tour was having a go on a medieval "tinder" swing in Viljandi and climbing the "mountains" of Latvia.
"Great tour"
Took the Traveller Tours trip from Riga to Tallinn early October. The guide/driver was very informative in terms of his knowledge and communication skills, this being in English, and he was able to answer any questions posed by the group. Would thoroughly recommend this company, this being the second of such intercity trips undertaken during our visit to the Baltic countries.
"Liine"
An amazing young woman...absolutely wonderful...history..geography..nature..world savvy.. We spent a wonderful day... She even took our lunch order. And it was waiting for us...lunch was one of the best we have had on vacation. Her command of English is better than most young people from the U.S. Thank you for providing such a marvelous service.
"Interesting tour. "
Highly recommended. Sten was excellent guide and driver
"Marvelous"
Very memorable and informationfull experience.
"Good Experience "
Nice tour, friendly guide, small group
"What a wonderful experience"
We truly enjoyed our trip tour from Riga to Tallinn. Anna was our guide. She's very knowledgeable, easygoing and caring person. The trip was filled with fun, joy and excitement. Highly recommended to take this trip and learn the history behind all the places while it is still there and experience beautiful countryside.
"Slow road to Tallinn"
Andres was very informative and knowledgeable and very safe driver. An excellent alternative to an express bus or train! Thank you
"Great tour!!"
Everything is perfectly planned. Andres is a great guide. Highly recommended.
"A recommendable tour from Riga to Tallinn"
We had a very interesting tour. Katrin, our guide was very good in giving a short and also personnel review of history of Estonia and Latvia, that gave me a better understanding of these two countries. All the stops we made were interesting. Our guide was very considerate to our small group of 7 passengers. She stopped for instance to allow me to post to cards shortly before we crossed the border. She is also a good driver and I can only recommend the tour.
"Splendid introduction to new countries"
In a small group of 7 we traveled from Riga to Tallinn, with a dedicated and inspiring guide, with great storytelling and knowledge. We heard about society, nature and personal experiences. Very valuable
"Best way to travel "
Our guide Anna was amazing! This is the only way to make this trip. The stops were interesting and informative. Definitely one to recommend. I just wish this kind of trip was available in more destinations.
"A great way to get from Riga to Tallinn"
We enjoyed a very warm guide, a nice group and interesting tours of some of the beautiful and romantic towns along the way
"Full of joy and excitement "
I must say that I was really lucky to take this fantastic tour to Tallinn from Riga. More so, it was enjoyable and remarkably fascinating because of our guide, Elina (whom we actually privileged to call Ellie), who took all the necessary steps to make it a remembering one. Not only she narrated the contemporary history but also she was through about it. With joy, laughter and happy moments prevailed through out the tour we even celebrated the Birthday of one of the group members on the way to Tallinn. A big thumbs up for Traveller tour and Elina !! I wish to recommend this tour for any prospective travellers.
"Adventures with Hannes"
What a great way to get from Riga to Tallinn! Yes, I could have taken a much quicker trip on a direct bus, but I would have missed seeing so much of the lovely countryside in Latvia and Estonia--places that are definitely off the beaten track. And I wouldn't have had half the fun I did with our charming and enthusiastic guide, Hannes, and the nice group of travelers from Brazil, Germany, the UK and Spain. From slightly rigorous forest hikes to walkabouts in historic towns to a whacky tour of the former Soviet bobsled training facilities, it was a day packed with both the fun and the serious. We also had a lovely lunch at a handsome country restaurant. Hannes was witty and good about keeping us all together. This was a great opportunity to learn tall tales and dig into the very complex history of the Baltics.
"Excellent way to travel!"
This was a brilliant, comfortable way to get between Riga and Tallinn, but more than that it allows you to experience more than just those city centres. Our guide was so knowledgeable and never rushed any part of the tour (in fact all the timing was perfect). The minivan was very spacious (which I had worried about as I'm tall and leg room is always an issue - but not this time!) and the restaurant and meal halfway was also lovely. I would highly recommend. Unfortunately we had bad weather for half the day but Sten carried on regardless and we got the best experience possible. Thanks TravellerTours.
"Good way to explore Estonia! Excellent Guide!"
Rather than taking the direct bus from Riga to Tallinn, this is the best way to explore both countries outside the city centre. Our guide, Katrin is very friendly and knowledgable in explaining the histories of both countries and also all the attractions that we visited. She is also a very safe driver and prepared some umbrellas in case it is raining. I don't feel rushed and she is very flexible with time. On top of that, she has helped us above and beyond when my mom left her bagpack in one of the attraction sites. She makes sure that the bagpack is delivered to us the next day! We were trully appreciative of her efforts in helping us. She has truly displayed an excellent representation of Estonian who is kind hearted! The other guide, Andres who voluntereed to get the bagpack and deliver it to us is truly a star! We will remember Estonia with sweet memories not only because of the beautiful attractions that the country has but also the kind hearted people!
"Good tour"
The vehicle was very comfortable for our group of 5. It was a very pleasant day, seeing more of Latvia and Estonia. However, our guide bluffed a lot of the info, was totally disengaged with us and had no consideration for anybodies speed or needs
"Best way to travel from Riga to Tallinn"
We opted for a private tour as it was more flexible. In particular, we had visited Sigulda for a full day (by train from Riga - recommended) so we asked to skip Sigulda and spend more time at Cesis Castle (also recommended.) Note - Elina said that even on a full tour, the guide can do that if everyone agrees. Elina was full of information and had excellent conversational English. Even if you are on the small group tour (about eight people, max nine), travelling between Riga and Tallinn this way allows you to see a lot more of the country outside the capital cities.
"Fantastic day tour"
I wish there were more tours like this, that take you from one beautiful place to another and show you so much on the way! Our guide Gregor was brilliant, he had an answer to every question and have lots of insights into Estonian culture. Highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see behind the mask of the capitals and see real Latvia and Estonia..
"Wonderful Expjrience"
We join the tour 2 academic ladies and found 4 young impressive people and a charming young gide Fred Gregor. We visited few beautiful places and learned a lot about Eztonia Thank you very mutch
"Riga to Tallinn "
Loved the tour, great way to travel between the two countries. Tour guide was amazing and we had loads of knowledge, would definitely recommend.
"Fun transfer!"
We had a fantastic transfer between Riga -Tallinn! Small group tour with small towns and scenic sights along the way. Our guide was friendly and fairly knowledgeable. His driving was good too, although we are quite prone to, we didn't end up with motion sickness during the journey! Would definitely recommend 😊
"Worth your time."
This was a great alternative to a regular bus from Riga to Tallinn. The tour was in a new minibus with only 6 passengers. The guide was a very good driver, extremely friendly, and knowledgeable about regional history and culture. We stopped at some places that really seemed to give a good representation of rural Latvia and Estonia. Most of the trip was on smaller highways and some dirt roads. It was nice to stop and spend time exploring places that had no other tourists there. I'm from the States and road trips through the country backroads are something that I have always enjoyed. This trip was exactly what I had hoped for. Highlights include: beautiful forests, teutonic castles, medieval towns, war museum, excellent restaurant for lunch, country scenery, and a bobsled track. Worth every penny!
"Bravo"
Very good tour. Many thanks to our guide Stan.
"Riga to Tallinn done right "
The journey was pleasant. Each stop was as expected. The lunch stop (chosen by the driver) was 5 stars. We arrived in advance (good). The fellow passengers were pleasant and not over communicative.
"Interesting and beautiful tour"
I would recommand the tour. Anna was a very nice guide and told us so much about the history, the all day life of the people and the special thing of the countrys. It was very interesting. We visited special spots and I think we got a good overview about the two countrys. And yes it was a long day, but it definitly worth it. So thank you to Anna for this great tour and all the beautiful places you showed us.
"Better than expected"
Small group, slow paced, and stopping by spots that are difficult to visit if you travel alone. Great experience.
"Just brilliant "
Just an awesome day, our driver was amazing and knew so much about everything which really made the trip next level... would highly recommend, well worth the cost!
"Pleasant trip from Riga to Tallinn"
A great experience. The tour was well organized. We enjoyed all the 5 stops (Sigulda, Cesis, Gaujas, Valga and Viljandu); my favorite was the military musuem in Valga. Andres is an excellent guide and a good driver.
"Perfect way to get from A to B"
This one way bus trip is the perfect day trip. It allows you to see little known countryside towns you would otherwise never experience. It also still advances you trip rather than using a whole day only to end up back where you started. It is a wonderful introduction to the history of both countries and the trip is busy but not rushed. A perfect day trip.
"Bet way from Riga to Tallinn"
The tour was a great way to get from Riga to Tallinn. Van was on time, comfortable, and safely driven. Every hour or so we stopped at medieval towns with castles, national park, museum, and a bobsleigh run (much more interesting that it sounds!). Thanks Hannes for a great tour.
"Fantastic tour for our Baltic journey!!"
We weren’t sure what to expect when booking this tour, but our trip from Riga to Tallinn was awesome! Mike was a fantastic guide who had a love for his country and the Baltics, and he was very tapped in to regional facts, locations and folklore. We loved every minute of the trip. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to get off the beaten path while touring the Baltic states!! We saw some amazing things we wouldn’t have otherwise seen!
"Best way to travel to Tallin "
Even though the tour is 12 hours it doesn’t really feel that long. It was really interesting and we never got bored. Our guide (Camille) was super nice and told us everything about Latvian and Estonian history. The locations we visited were very suggestive.
"Learn Baltic History and explore Nature"
Taking the Sightseeing Tour gives you great possibility to learn about the Baltic history, tasting local food and explore the wildlife. Including to eat wild berries, writing Names in Sand-Stone and seeing historical landmarks with a very passionate guide. 5-Star experience
"Nice out of the track tour"
We chose this tour based on some website advice. We were very satisfied, you see places that might otherwise miss or that would need a specific trip. He chance of meeting other nice travellers is not to be disregarded too. The guides, beyond knowing the places they take you to visit, also can explain a lot about the people and the culture.
"History and nature in a short journey "
This short journey from Latvia to Estonia is a good opportunity to have a taste of history and nature of the 2 countries outside the main cities.
"Nice way to see the countryside "
Overall it was a great tour and the tour guide was fantastic. The biggest downside, if you have a group of 8, two people will be smashed in the front seat. That's three deep for more than 12 hours. It is not comfortable and something I wish I knew beforehand.
"Great tour with enthusiastic guide!"
We had a beautiful tour through Latvia and Estonia. We saw many highlights in these countries, and had enough time to explore these places. Furthermore the guide had many great stories that made the places come to livea I would recommend this tour!
"Relaxing way to travel from Riga to Tallinn"
The tour was a really good way to get around. Great guide and great food stop!
"A fascinating tour and a complete journey"
We had an amazing journey with our guide and the pleasant group that was created. In a few hours we experienced particular things that we wouldn't ever seen without the tour, in particular the Gauja park, Cesis Castle and the fantastic typical lunch. An unexceptionable note is Uku, our guide: a knowledgeable and a very polite boy who took care of us for all the tour's duration making our trip unforgettable; he is also a good driver! In our opinion the only thing we would avoid is the visit to the war's museum because it's too tiring and not visiting it would reduced the duration of the trip.
"Wonderful day"
It was a very enjoyable day with a lot of sightseeing with good company and a fantastic guy whose English was impeccable. We made about 9 stops through the journey. We had a late lunch, but very delicious in a little hotel with plenty of hunting trophies at the border town of Estonia. They guide was very good and approachable who had a very good knowledge of history of the Baltic States.
"Great way to travel between Riga and Tallinn"
Fun and historic places that we wouldn't have visited, as we had not rented a car. Loved Viljande and the bobsleigh track. Not convinced about the military museum though. Very friendly guide, who was eager to tell us about her beautiful country,
"Different way"
I really appreciate this escursion! Laura is very friendly and professional also.
"fantastic trip"
beautiful and funny trip exploring some interesting places like a war museum of valga or cesis castle. the driver and guide was very kindly and friendly
"Perfect. Professionele organisatie met ervaren gidsen. Maakt het reizen van A naar B aangenaam. "
Koppel het aangename aan het noodzakelijk en maak van je verplaatsing een leerrijke en plezante uitstap. Professionele organisatie met een erg toffe gids (Laura). Niet aarzelen, doen!
"Very pleasant trip"
Enjoyed all the stops, and the slightly early arrival in Tallinn
"The rain did not bother us anyway..."
The tour was one of its kind. We had a very rainy day full of activities that seemed to compensate for the gloomy weather. The giant swing in Viljandi was the best. Loved the Latvian wilderness...
"Great Transit & Tour"
What a fantastic day from Riga to Tallinn! Anna was our guide, and she is wonderful. She is talkative, positive, and knowledge. I absolutely loved the stop at the bobsled track, where we got to watch lots of Russian athletes use the track. I absolutely LOVED that we were able to stop for coffee and lunch along the route. I would have been miserable otherwise! I was a solo traveler and we had multiple solo travelers on the trip, which made it very enjoyable. I would have liked to visit the castle in Cesis, but that is really the only thing that I missed. I would like to explore your other options for tours in different countries. Where I can find this information?
"Best way to travel riga to tallin"
We were very lucky with our guide Kamil, she was very helpful, informative, jolly, funny and a good driver too. The stops we made were enjoyable and helped to break the journey. We particularly liked the bob sleigh stop and the national park. It would have been fun to go down the bob sleigh run on bicycles, but we understand the need for health and safety !! We recommend the tour highly especially as Kamil was kind enough to stop to let us off early in Tallin so we were closer to our hotel. Very helpful.
"More than a transfer from A to B: This adds information, experience and nice company"
After travelling from Vilnius to Riga with the Sihghtseeing Tour Bus, we continued the trip a few days later from Riga to Tallinn with the same tour operator, but different group, different tour leader and of course different route with different stops. This time: a sport site (bob and luge track in Sigulda), a romantic old town (Cesis), a walk in the national park (Gaujas), a military museum (Valga) and castle ruins (Viljandu). Entrance fees were included. Our tour leader was Estonian. He talked a lot about his home country and its history, but didn't know much about Latvia. In one case I even think he mixed up Latvia and Lithuania. Also the announcements (how long will we stop here?) were not always audible in the car. What is spoken in the drivers seat can not always be heard in the back. This is the reason for the missing fifth star. Besides this, the tour was fun. Of course it is a long day and near the end the country roads get a bit boring. However it is the perfect way to travel from Riga to Tallinn if you are not only looking for a transfer but for information, experience and nice company. Definitely recommend!
"A great trip"
We did the bus tour Riga-Tallin. Laura was our guide/driver. A great experience: we just needed to travel one-way from Riga to Tallin and we decided to book the tour instead of a conventional bus or train ticket. We spent a nice and funny day. The tour is well organized, no rush and you can merge a transfer trip with a visit of some of the best Latvian and Estonian location. A special thanks to Laura (she is really one of the most energetics and positive person I have ever met) who was able to entertain us during the whole trip. Totally recommended and a must-go trip if you have to travel through Baltic capitals
"Amazing good guided overview about latvian and estonian countrysideat 10.August 2019."
In a comfortable new 9-seat van we get an excellent tour not only about countryside between Riga and Tallinn, but also an historical&cultural overview with all its details about development of populatian, language, traditional food, music etc. Private story of family and experiences of our guide added to the normal facts made it very special. I recommend it to all newbys in Latvia&Estonia!!!
"Interesting way to travel from Latvia to Tallin"
I loved the tour and the company. If you want a nice trip between Riga and Tallin rather than a boring journey I would recommend it. Small negative I felt the tour guide was more interested in Estonian history than Latvian and we could have had more historical detail. Not sure about the military museum as I have an aversion to nationalism and militarism and the exhibits were only labelled in Estonian. It was interesting however to learn about Estonia’s struggle for independence. Lunch in Valga was great food. Other highlights were the Gauja national park and Viljendi.
"Fabulous!"
We spent a lovely day sightseeing with a fun group and learned so much about the local history from our extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide. Perfect way to travel from Riga to Tallinn!!
"Great way of travelling from Riga to Tallinn"
A great tour taken by Sten, don't feel rushed at all and we have some to explore a bit ourselves sometimes too. I think its a convenient way making your way from Riga to Tallinn
"Great tour to Tallinn"
We had a great tour from Riga to Tallinn. Our guide was very experienced and we got to know more about the history of Latvia and Estonia. highly recommended
"Excellent, fun trip"
Really enjoyed this. It's a leisurely way to get from one city to the other, with the journey broken up so you never feel like you're in the van for too long. The tour guide was friendly and extremely knowledgable, and the choice of restaurant for lunch was great: good food, swiftly served.
"great tour"
It was an interesting tour as we saw parts of the countryside that we would not have made the effort or had the time to see. The guide was excellent and the trip was an enjoyable occasion for our diverse group of 3 generations
"Fun, interesting Riga - Tallinn trip"
A very fun, interesting & efficient way to get from Riga to Tallinn & see & learn a lot along the way! Elina was a great, informative guide & managed the trip perfectly, and the small group format was ideal. I really liked the variety of the visits (focusing on nature, history, sports...) & had a very enjoyable day which was a highlight of our Baltic trip. Highly recommended, thank you!
"Great way to get to Tallinn"
We were looking for a way to get from Riga to Tallinn while seeing some more of the countryside and were very happy with our choice. The day was great, our guide was fun and knowledgable and the stops along the way were interesting. Would definitely recommend it to others.
"Perfect tour to enjoy the road from Riga to Tallinn"
The tour was really great. Anna, the guide, was really nice and prepared. Everything is really well planned
"A really nice experience"
We had a great time during the tour. It was very informative and a good way to experience the countries from a different perspective. It was a big plus that it was a small group on tour, only six persons, which made for a more personal and unique experience. We had a passionate guide who really knew his stuff. We can truly recommend taking this tour.
"Local charm"
A very enjoyable day, chatting with a local about life in the Baltics and much more, while visiting great sights along the way. Good choice of sights, not too many, not too few, so that we got something out of each stop while not being too rushed.
"One of the most knowledgeable guide tour out there"
Robert is an nearly infinite well of knowledge about all subjects. He made this trip extremely educational and interesting. Despite the rain and the poor weather, we had a great time with him and the rest of the bus. He even decided to show us his hometown of Tartu instead of the usual (less interesting imho) path. His passion for history is contagious and I would recommend this tour 100%. Merci Robert!
"A very passionate tour of Latvia and Estonia"
Daumants enjoyed guiding us through the tour, he was highly motivated and enriched the experience with his personal life stories. If you wanna have a sip of these countries and you don’t have much time this is definitely a must.
"Great way to travel between Tallinn and Riga"
Our driver guide, Anna, was great. She made the trip fun.
"Best way to get from Riga to Tallinn"
We had the most wonderful day and learned so much from our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. The stops were all interesting and lunch was delicious.
"It's a long way to Tallinn"
It is interesting and very entertaining, but very tiring too. Our guide was great, with singing and drama and jokes. We thought the visit to the military "museum" was completely unnecessary as it is very poor and there's really nothing interesting there. Also we were horrified that they sold nazi uniforms there.
"Very entertaining"
Excellent trip
"Unbeatable way to travel between cities "
So glad we some time out to take the slow van from Riga to Tallinn, stopping off at an eclectic mix of sites and smaller towns in the beautiful Latvian and Estonian countryside and learning about the history of multiple occupations, national pastimes and temperaments. Thoroughly recommended.
"Nice tour from Riga to Tallinn"
I had this trip with my 3 friends and we will definitely recommend this trip. The places you visit are great! The guide Mike was perfect, his enthusiasm was great and he told us a lot about the history of Estonia and Latvia.
"Perseverance in the face of rain"
Though continuously chased and and caught by the rain, Anna never lost her smile nor the enthusiasm and pride with which she told us about Latvia and the Baltic countries as a whole. The tour has a quirky mixture of stops, making it a lot of fun and providing opportunities to learn about many different aspects of Latvia and Estonia. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to take advantage of a day of travel between the capitals.
"Great choice to go from Riga to Tallinn!"
Our guide was a historian and could explain to us absolutely every historical detail during the trip and the visits. 100% recommendable!
"The best!"
Ruta was the best guide
"Great tour"
Great tour, knowledgeable, nice guide, good lunch, absolutly loved the national park with the sandy cliffs :)
"nature"
Nice trip with 2 interesting stops in small village. Interesting to see the landscape and nature especially with our guide karolis, who is an nature expert!
"Great tour! "
I really enjoyed the tour, it was so much better than going straight from Riga to Tallinn. We were a small group of 6, we had several stops on the way to discover the inner lands and Andres our guide was amazing giving us plenty of information and anecdotes with lots of sense of humor. I definitely recommend it!
"Fun Way to Get Between Riga and Tallinn"
Got to see a lot of Estonia and Latvia I otherwise would have missed. Guides were friendly and fun.
"Best way to get to Tallinn from Riga!"
Really great time with Robert going from Riga to Tallinn. Really enjoyed Robert’s knowledge on local history as it added a lot to the experience!
"A great tour"
A very nice guide. She did her best to make our trip an exciting one. I strongly recommend this tour rather than a direct one.
"Great way to travel between the cities"
The tour was a great way to travel between Riga and Tallinn and see some of the smaller towns and the countryside outside of the main city. The tour was a great size with only 8 people, it felt very personal. Anna was a great guide and was very knowledgeable.
"Great way to travel"
Our guide/driver Kamile, was excellent. Enough information but not to much and a superb driver . The places we stopped at were varied and interesting and lunch was really good.
"Seeing the local country side"
In every country, you got to see the hinterland and not just only the capital. Good wat to get a feel of the place. Estonia isn’t a crowded place, but you get a feel of the country and the people. Good thing to do when you need to go to Tallinn and went to see something out of the beaten beaten path.
"Best way to travel from Riga to Tallinn"
The tour was very good. We stopped at nice and interesting places. Our tour guide Hannes was a fun person, I can recommend him. Sadly one stop was closed because of a local celebration. I would have liked that they are aware of that beforehand and would plan an alternative stop instead. Thanks Hannes for the fun trip!
"Another great day with Tallinn Tours!"
Liine was an excellent guide! Full of interesting and engaging information, and she was very flexible with our interests. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with her.
"Informative "
Kristin was knowledge and patient with all of us. Great trip! I would recommend it
"Interesting and fun way to get to Tallinn"
Otherwise, due to lack of time, I wouldn't have seen those places and gone straight to Tallinn by bus. Nice guide, Uku
"Very worthwhile tour"
I enjoyed hearing our guide, Katrin, share those stories from her heart. She's very willing to help and also a very gentle driver! I am happy to be part of this group and visit spots that I wouldn't be able to reach easily by public transportation.
"Lovely slow way of traveling"
Our guide Karolis was really friendly and an expert when it comes to flora. He learned me a lot about the environment we traveled through. The trip also gave me the possibility to visit Viljandi, which is the most beautiful place I've seen in Estonia so far (after three visits). The whole trip I've felt really comfortable. Karolis his genuine interest in the motivations of people to visit Riga and Tallinn made the trip really pleasant as well.
"Long ride worth the sights"
We also took the trip from Vilnius to Riga. We got what we hoped for: visits to the countryside to explore instead of just driving by. We stopped at a bobsledge venue, sandy cliffs, small towns with nice vistas, a military museum and had lunch at a fantastic hole-in-the wall in a town split by the border. As for our ride the guide was knowledgeable and drove safely. Bring some snacks. Water was provided.
"The ONLY was to travel between Riga & Tallinn"
This was a great way to get from Riga to Tallinn & actually see some of the countryside along the way, while hearing about both countries & being able to ask questions. Eight passengers is a great number & the vehicle was very comfortable. We enjoyed the whole day & would recommend this as the only way to travel between the two cities. Uku was fantastic & happy to answer any questions we put to him. Gave us lots of great info on Tallinn as well.
"Great Tour"
We booked for a family group of 10. It was a great service. Pick up from the hotel in Riga and drop off at the hotel in Tallinn. Great stops along the way, nice restaurant for lunch - and pre/ordering was a great idea to keep our big group on schedule. They were wonderfully flexible with start and finish times and stops on the way. Thx to Laura for her knowledge and energy for our very tired group!
"Lots of fun!"
After using Traveller Tours for our Riga-Vilnius trip, we booked them again to take us from Riga-Tallinn. Our guide "Mike" was great and we enjoyed all the stops along the way. I highly recommend Traveller!
"Great overview of both countries and the history"
The tour was a great way to see the country side for both countries, learn about the rich history, see the economic differences, visit cities off the map, and add to the European trip. Along the way we visited a brewery, military museum, national park, remains of a castle, and a national park. Our guide Mike was the best guide for such an experience as he told folklore and sang! This is a great way to see behind the scenes of the country. The 12 hours was long, and perhaps could be shortened to 10, but it was well worth the time, effort, and expense. Very much recommend it.
"Great trip from Riga to Tallinn"
We really enjoyed our day trip and gave as a better understanding of the two countires, which is often missed when only visiting capital cities. It was a very long day, and the last section was about 2 and a half hours, so my back was a little sore the ne t day. Our guide was a little quiet a reserved, but extremely knowledgeable about each of the places we visited.
"A most memorable travel"
The driver/guides. (Laura and Beatrice) were excellent, courteous, informative, entertaining and charming. The buses were comfortable the food was fine, the pace relaxed, no time pressure. Traveller input and preferences were considered, . It was a wonderful trip. I would definitely recommend it to others. Thank you.
"The best way to travel from Riga to Tallin"
We really enjoyed the tour. Andres was a perfect guide, professional, prepared, brilliant, and attentive. The atmosphere was cosy, the group was very pleasent, and we spent a memorable day!
"First time in Baltic countries"
It was nice. Guide was knowledgeable and explained many things. Due to rain and road closing etc we couldn’t see a few place. Overall it was good trip
"Perfect pace, amazing guide "
We found this tour a much better pace than the other. There was just the right amount of time in each place, with no long waits. Our guide Elina came with us on each stop and took us around sharing stories and information. The lunch stop was also fantastic value. Highly recommend.
"Crossed the border with Anna. "
A great day. This is a ‘no brainer’ option tour for getting from Riga to Tallinn (or the opposite). It was comfortable, interesting and we saw sights that are more than the run of the mill tourist spots. Even the lunch stop was amazing. We arrived in Tallinn with plenty of time for dinner. Getting the inside on Latvia and Estonia from a young, respectful, interesting and capable tour guide gave us a real perspective on these countries that have endured a tough history. Thanks to Anna and our new friends for the day for a memorable day.
"See More Than Just Riga and Talliinn"
We very much enjoyed our trip from Riga to Tallinn, Elina, our tour guide, gave us detailed information about each place we visited. We never would have been able to see all of these places had we not taken the tour. We loved hearing about the history of Estonia and walking through the medieval towns of Viljandi and Cēsis. We also enjoyed learning about the bobsled course in Latvia. Elina was fantastic. She was knowledgeable and also very funny,
"Cool tour"
A brilliant day going to places that you would otherwise never have time for. Though long the trip is broken down into small journeys with stops so you don’t realise how the day is going. Very good value.
"Nice way to arrive in Tallinn"
Besides the long distance, our tour was great Very nice restaurant our guide has chosen.
"Best way to travel from Riga to Tallinn"
This is the best and easier way to visit all the interesting sites between Riga and Tallinn. You can find the full schedules in their website. The most interesting parts were hiking at the Gauja National Park, walking around the small castle town Viljandi, and the best was lunch at the Valmiermuiza brewery, they have the best beer in Latvia and the food was great! We can not possibly have such a wonderful trip without our guide, Mikelis! He was helpful and knowledgable, told us fun stories and even sang for us!
"Fantastic day trip from Riga to Tallinn "
It was my first time joining a small bus tour in this part of Europe. it turned out to be a perfect choice. We need to go to Tallinn from Riga, it provided us with transport combined with tour along the way. I loved the places along the way, a nice lunch, National Park walk and even had time to pick some berries and mushrooms. Katrin our guide had done a fantastic job, couldn't be better. She even had a perfect cup if coffee with her in the small cafe in Medieval old town Cesis in order to escape the rain. Katrin is a very knowledgeable tour guide, I hope to join some other tours by her and Traveller next time.
"The best way to link the Baltic capital cities"
We had a great time from Riga to Tallinn, discovering many places we would not have seen if we chose another way to go. Our guide, Anna, was so nice and useful with her explanations. We felt surrounded by warm hearted people and had a great day, which did not even feel like a traveling day. Thank you so much !

"Make the BEST of Your Day to Tallin"
Best choice to travel to travel Riga - Tallin. You travel with a group and within the travel time you can make good travel friends, you see places you would not even thought of visiting. The journey is broken up with stops at various stops. The driver/Gulde Michael - what can i say about him. He was AMAZING ...he drove safely, spoke with passion and his singing was amazingggggggggggg. Great tour
"Fun and interesting trip between two great cities"
We had a great day on this tour, and saw new sides to Latvia and Estonia's history and culture during it. Our guide was excellent and packed a huge amount into the day: we were able to spend good periods of time at each of the destinations listed. The lunch spot was delicious, and we arrived into Tallinn well on time. Overall, a very enjoyable experience!
"interesting alternative to travel "
Meeting open minded people from all over the world and being entertained by an knowledged guy. Learned about the history and fairies. Probably the best way to travel from Latvia to Estonia. We highly recommend.
"A great way to explore the countryside!"
A lovely day. I really wanted to get outside capitol cities into villages, and this tour allows this opportunity. Our guide Kert was very knowledgeable and just a very warm, great guy. Conversation flowed frfelt. The other guests were interesting because they had Estonian heritage and added their own personal stories when we visited sites. I would highly suggest this tour to my friends!
"Riga to Tallinn and a whole lot more in between"
Taking this tour was the best way for me to get from Riga to Tallinn. Besides actually getting to my destination I was able to stop at so many more places that I would not have seen otherwise. The short stop at the bobsleigh track was fun and interesting and the visit to the town of Cēsis was a great opportunity to walk around a bit in this charming town. The visit to the Gauja National Park was a major highlight - we had a good walk and were able to appreciate Latvia's natural beauty. After lunch in Valga our last stop was in picturesque Viljandi where we had the opportunity to try out the very Estonian sport of kiiking (team swinging on a giant wooden swing) - exhilarating to say the least! We were in the very capable hands of Gregor, our guide/driver for the day - nothing was too much trouble for him and he was willing to answer questions at any stage and not just stick to a planned script. Gregor certainly went a long way to making it an unforgettable day - a huge thank you to him and to Traveller Tours.
"Brilliant road trip to Tallinn"
We took the road trip from Riga to Tallinn and enjoyed every minute of it with Liine providing a brilliant tour. Couldn’t recommend the trip highly enough. Liine was a great lead, both with her knowledge and her humour. Would definitely recommend to do the trip to anyone young or old !!
"Amazing trip and fun tour guide!"
We had an amazing time discovering Latvian and Estonian culture, history, and nature. Anna was delightful and I really enjoyed learning from her. Strongly recommended!
"Fantastic trip from Riga to Tallin!"
The tour was challenging for our guide as the public holiday meant roads were closed and usual restaurants and some sites weren’t open. He was great at improvising and finding other venues and events that made the most of the holiday activities. It was wonderful to have access to such knowledge of the history and culture, all relayed with a sense of fun. This is my second trip of this type and I highly recommend it
"Another grand trip!"
This is the perfect way to travel from one capital to another. Just as our trip from Vilnius-to Riga was delightful, the trip from Riga to Tallinn was just as enjoyable and informative. Once again, our guide Mike could not have been more enthusiastic, personable, entertaining, and knowledgeable. He has a special gift. The day was long but never boring and, because of the variety of stops along the way, including a memorable walk through the state park forest and buying exquisite strawberries from a farm, it flew by pleasurably. We are world travelers, but this was a winner!
"Great way to get from Riga to Tallinn (or vica versa) "
We were staying in Riga but wanted to visit Tallinn for a few days and also see a bit more of Latvia apart from just Riga. This tour was perfect for that. It was well paced with a good balance of travel and visits. The stops were all very interesting and enjoyable. Our guide Anna was fantastic, funny engaging, knowledgeable and clearly passionate about both Latvia and Estonia, their history and their future. There is clearly also a great friendly rivelry between the two countries which was a lot of fun and a recurring theme (also came up on tours we did in Estonia). Highly recommended.
"Riga to Tallinn - the fun way"
Chosen instead of a boring flight with time wasted at airports, this was a way to see the countryside and something of the smaller towns on the way. Our guide had a wealth of information at her fingertips and gave insights into modern life in Latvia and Estonia and history of the Baltic States. This added hugely to our short stay in the two countries. I must also say that the vehicle used was ideal for the journey and that our guide's driving was impeccable.
"Fun surprise!"
Travelling with a small group between Riga and Tallinn is a great choice. There are worthy stops along the way including Viljandi Castle, a huge Swing that needs to be experienced and a beautiful nature walk.
"Fantastic trip, amazing guide"
We have a nice trip from Riga to Tallinn with Elina. She is a wonderful, warm, friendly person and an amazing and very informative guide. She made us a great day. Thanks, Eli, for everything!
"Great fun"
We learned a lot about the local sights, customs and culture in just one day. Our guide was very passionate about sharing her personal experiences as well which made all the stories even more interesting. Because were an international group, it was also fun to exchange our travel tips and tricks amongst each other. The long say is quite intense, but each stop was definitely worth it. My personal favorite: the beautiful national park.
"Fun Filled 12 hours with Mike"
We travel from Riga to Tallinn with Mike as our private driver- guide. We enjoy the activities and find them most suitable means to know the countries. Mike is very knowledgeable and communicate well in English. We are 4 seniors of age over 65 while Mike is just over 20. There is no communication gap. He is also entertaining. Thank you Mike
"Lovely guides"
The young guides were lovely. I felt the tour would have benefitted by being several hours shorter. An alternative shorter route along the coast would appeal to many I am sure. It is really good value.
"Itinerary Not Very Interesting"
We are not interested in a bobsled run; Cesis did not have much to offer; the military museum turned out to be a private collection of discarded Soviet military items. The Gauja Nat’l Park was worthwhile seeing and the Viljandi site offered historical as well as cultural context. Unless the itinerary is improved we would not recommend. Our guide Elena was very good: a responsible driver, well informed, communicated well, approachable. This interaction with a native was valuable.
"best way to see Latvia and Estonia!"
Great tour from Riga to Tallinn! We enjoyed seeing some out-of-the-way sites that we would never have made it to on our own, while traveling to our next overnight destination. Krislin was an engaging and informative guide, who shared a lot of Estonian cultural tidbits with us.
"Real Estonia and Latvia"
My wife Vicky and I really enjoyed our trip from Riga to Tallinn with Traveller Tours. Our guides for the day Katrin and Grigor were very engaging and gave us a great insight into Estonian and Latvian culture both present and past. Our fellow travelers were and pleasure as well.
"Fun experience"
Visited nice places enroute to Tallinn. The huge swing was particularly fun!
"On the road"
Andres was a fabulous and knowledgeable guide. The stops were timed well and at great locations. We definitely recommend this tour.
"Getting from A to B hitting several other letters on the way"
My friends and I decided to make the most of the journey between Riga and Tallinn so signed up for the sightseeing tour. It was a long day, about 12 hours in total, but well worth it. We set off in two mini-vans of a maximum capacity of 8 (we were in a van of six) so it was comfortable. The guides, Anna and Kert, were very nice, knowledgeable and had a funny Latvian-Estonian banter going on. They answer all our questions and provided us with insights into the day to day life in both countries. We visited several places we would not have been able to do had we just taken public transport between both cities, and enjoyed getting to know the countries better, as well as other travellers. Overall we enjoyed the experience and would recommend it.

"A memorable experience "
An enjoyable and worthwhile excursion without which I would not have gotten to visit and experience some beautiful and interesting parts of both Latvia and Estonia. Having a guide who was both knowledgeable, interested and engaging put this tour far above any other tours I have experienced.
"Great Tour. "
Elina was a great tour guide from Riga to Tallinn. The drive was broken up by some great stops and the pace was amazing. She was very accommodative and she was such a nice person! Loved it and highly reccomend. Turns a travel day into something more.
"Bloody smashing"
Fantastic host! Great sights. Can not recommend enough. Ps we hope this is the right tour guide ps soz we don’t remember your name but you were brilliant none the less THANKS!
"Great way to get to Tallin"
Probably one of the best ways to get to Tallinn from Riga.
"Lovely guide, room for itinerary improvement!"
While this concept is amazing and a very fun way to get from point A to point B, and our guide was super knowledgeable and lovely (and as invested in Eurovision as we were haha), the itinerary could use a little bit of work. There is only one stop for food in 12 hours (we luckily brought some snacks, but were still dying by the end of it) and tucking in a long school-like lesson about the Soviet Occupation (and gross food with worms in it) right before lunch might not be the wisest scheduling. I personally also think almost 50 minutes of war is a bit much, as important as it is to know your history, I'd rather have spent some more time exploring the National Park! All in all it was an alright tour though, and like I said our guide was lovely, there's just a lot of room for itinerary improvements!
"Great travel "
The tour was fun and very interesting as we discovered a bit more about Latvia and Estonia history. It was great to have a small walk on the Gauja park and very funny to try the Estonian swing. The minibus (8 people maximum) is a perfect size if you are not that much into "tour bus" and allows you to discuss with the other travellers and the guide. The guide was very friendly, informative and full of tips to make the most of Estonia. Liine was a very safe and relaxed driver. Overall a very enjoyable trip.
"Wonderful way to travel from Riga to Tallinn"
If you want to get from Riga to Tallinn and see the sights along the way, then this is the way to travel. Laura was our driver and guide and entertained us all the way with her knowledge (her mother is a history teacher) and her talent (she sang a song for us at the beautiful medieval castle at Viljandi). It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and one of the highlights of our trip around the Baltic countries.
"Travel with Local"
It’s great experience that you’ll travel with a local guide. It’s perfect if you have any question especially history. It will not be just a transportation but a guided tour. Highly recommended!! :D
"Really good day!"
It was a very good day and tour with Mike, lots of fun and sightseeing with him. Thanks!
"Convenient way of doing sightseeing "
It was an enjoyable trip plus the meal offered by a Tallinn’s hotel through the driver cum guide was definitely worth trying.
"An adventure across the countryside."
I had a wonderful adventure across the countryside with Mikelis and fellow travelers. We were provided to an inside look to the off the beaten path of what the countries had to offer. I would defiantly recommend this program for anyone wanting to get out of just the capital cities of the Baltic States and to see as much as possible as you travel from one country to the next.
"Great guide! "
Loads of fun and interesting stops :)
"Lovely tour guide however the bus is a bit too small"
Enjoyed the tour a little but I don’t think it’s something for me. It’s a long time on the small bus with other people sitting so closely to you. It’s more of a large car than a bus. I did really enjoy seeing the towns and the National Park and the guide was a lovely guy who knew a lot about the Estonia and Latvia. My partner enjoyed this tour more than I did. I don’t think it’s for everyone but you definitely won’t regret it.
"Excellent"
That was great way to get from Riga to Tallinn & Mike is a very friendly tour guide
"Best Tour guide ever! "
There would not have been a better way to go to Tallinn from Riga. Marju was exceptional and really made the trip very pleasant. The stops were well planned with adequate time to go around. The best part was the associated information that Marju conveyed effortlessly keeping the tour quite interesting! The lunch was at an amazing place with great local cuisine. Marju was able to get us there despite the place not being fully available as it was the day after christmas. The van was comfortable and driving was good. She also provided great pointers on what to do and try in Tallinn which really helped my stay in Tallinn. Aitah Marju!
"PERFECT"
THE TRIP IS AMAZING, EVEN WITH NEGATIVE TEMPERATURES!!
"Highly recommend"
Had an amazing time on this tour. Turned a wasted travel day into a highlight of our trip. Our tour guide Mic was very knowledgeable and fun to be around. Would highly recommend this for anyone heading to or from Tallinn.
"Very patient and experience guide"
We are a group of 8, moving slowly on the wet and slippery floor. Andres is very patience with us. He brought us to the forest and historical castle. He ensure we reach our apartment in Helsinki safely. He is a safe driver and good guide.
"A fun-filled way to get from Riga to Tallinn!"
We recently took the Riga-Tallinn Sightseeing tour bus and it was one of the best experiences ever! We took a private tour as there was no public tour that day. Our guide, Mike picked us up from our hotel in Riga and led us for an amazing day trip. Our first stop was at the Bobsleigh track - it provided wonderful views over the area and was a fun trek to see an actual working ice track! Next, we visited the quaint old town of Cesis to pick up soveniors and grab a cup of coffee, Following that, the trek through the Gauja national park was definitely the highlight of the day - a chance to really connect with nature in a snowy walk. We then stopped for lunch near a Beer Factory, before heading to our last stop of the day, Viljandi to see the ruins of the fort. Finally, we were dropped off at our hotel in Tallinn with a day full of fond memories! Overall, a fun trip and definitely recommended to do!
"Best Way to Travel from Riga to Tallinn"
Taking the small group tour between Riga and Tallinn was a great decision I made. The tour was fantastic and I got to see places in Latvia and Estonia that I would have not seen myself. Mike was an amazing guide, very thoughtful, kind and funny. He answered all the questions from the travelers so kindly and patiently and made sure everyone was going at their own pace. Glad I saw the picturesque small towns and spent some time outdoors in the Gauja national park. This trip comes highly recommended to anyone not wanting to do the drive themselves and wanting to see some beautiful places outside the cities of Tallinn and Riga.
"Excellent guide"
Excellent way to travel to Tallin, particularly by the explanations and simpaty of our guide!
"Wonderful way to see the Latvian and Estonian country side"
The guide was outstanding and very engaging and personable. Refrained from using private cell phone during the tour. Made an effort to show us the sites we were most interested I seeing.
"Much more to these countries than their capital cities!!!"
I had previously taken the tour from Vilnius to Riga, because I think it’s a good opportunity to see some of these beautiful countries outside of their capital cities. This tour was also very interesting and informative. Our guide was friendly and welcoming, he gave a great introduction to his country.
"The Perfect way to see these 2 countries"
Travelling from Riga to Tallinn, we wanted to take in as much of the country side as we could. Alternative travel methods such as direct bus or plane didn’t really appeal as you missed out on seeing the country first hand. This tour was great! 12 hours travel but it took us to off the beaten track sights. We visited castles and towns; forests and bobsled tracks; all with the amazing help and knowledge of our tour guide. Great experience and highly recommended
"Great tour!"
A fun way to get between Riga & Tallinn while seeing more of the country side - including the bobsled run and national park. Plus a great lunch stop. No hassle of renting a car and figuring out where to stop - just enjoy the experience. Our guide was top notch too!
"Great trip"
We had an absolutely amazing experience travelling from Riga to Tallinn. Our guide Anna was lovely and very knowledgable of the area as well. Highly recommend this tour!
"Full Bus"
Eight travelers, 12 hours. Too long. Cut it to. 9-10 hours.
"Great trip from Riga to Tallinn!"
Good to have some stop-overs during the long hours of usual driving route. Local guides tell local stories along the way. The group size is just right.
"Completely recommended to anyone interested on local culture and history."
Absolutely satisfied with the tour. Make you feel like traveling in family. Safe driver. Five Stars!!!
"The best way to get from Riga to Tallinn"
It was really good experience. The trip was well organized, we visited several beatiful places, small picturesque towns, walked in pineapple forest, learnt interesting things about Latvia and Estonia history. Despite the long day, it was "light" and "live" trip, thanks to our guide Line, very nice person with good sense of humour. The lunch in the authentic restaurant was super delicious. We really enjoyed the trip, would recommend this option to everyone.
"Informative personalised trip with delightful singing guide Mikelis. "
Great way to get a feel for rural parts of Latvia and Estonia, with stops at points of interest.
"A great day and a great way to travel "
My son and I joined the rest of the group travelling from Riga to Tallin. Our guide was Mikelis. He entertained us very well throughout the day with his local knowledge and even threw in a couple of folk songs. It was a great experience, visiting some really interesting places we would never of considered normally visiting. I would throughly recommend the trip to anyone wanting to travel between the 2 cities.
"Thoroughly enjoyed it."
Our guide new Marju knew the hidden places, explained various things on the way.
"Un tuffo nella storia e nella tradizione dei paesi baltici "
Abbiamo deciso di prenotare il tour da Riga a Tallinn con questo Tour Bus ed è stata un'esperienza fantastica! Abbiamo percorso strade che mai avremmo fatto e visitato paesi all'interno che non avremmo mai visto. La nostra guida era Mike, un ragazzo lettone giovane e molto simpatico. Ve lo consigliamo!
"Riga-Tallinn with Traveller"
We had a wonderful day with Laura T of Traveller. We took the tour from Riga to Tallinn and visited the beautiful cities in between. Laura was very helpful with our six month old. She was very knowledgeable and shared trivia facts about the places we visited. She even picked fresh berries for us. She is a bright girl and we wish her well. We really had a memorable time with her and would cherish it forever.
"Riga to Tallinn "
Our guide was delightful! We would have been fine with more music in the van for the long ride. The sights are beautiful and it was nice to get out and walk around.
"Great tour !"
Very interesting tour with a nice guide. I recommend !
"Sightseeing with pizazz!"
The perfect way to get from Riga to Tallinn. Laura, from Vilnius, was an energetic and informative guide, keeping it fun at the same time. She seemed to be having a good time and that made us have a good time as well.
"Memorable "
It’s great to combine sightseeing with getting me from Riga to Tallinn
"Fantastic tour!"
We had a fantastic time from Riga to Tallinn having asp done the Villnius to Riga tour. Riga to Tallinn was a bit more relaxed, loved the forest cliffs! Great restaurant pick in a hunting lodge hotel. I’d highly recommend these one-way tours! Marju recommended five places in Tallinn - we made it to four. Thanks for the awesome Tips!!!
"Anna is the best guide turistic!!"
She is nice and very good!!
"A wonderful way to go from Riga to Tallinn"
We were planning a trip that would include Riga and Tallinn, and I have run into your ad proposing to get from Riga to Tallinn by a bus tour. We decided to try it, but had some doubts. In particular, we were not sure we would survive 12 hours on a bus. In the end we enjoyed the trip very much. Triin the guide/driver was very professional, very knowledgeable and with a good sense of humor. We visited beautiful Latvian and Estonian countryside, which we would never seen otherwise, and the time passed very fast.
"Interesting way to go to Tallinn from Riga"
It was a good change to go to Tallinn from Riga visiting interesting places in Latvia and Estonia. The lunch was great in a lovely place and our guide was very nice. The only dissapointing thing was the Military Museum because our guide spent too much time there and making political matters.
"Enjoyable way to travel from Riga to Tallinn"
I enjoyed this tour from Riga to Tallinn. The only negative was the weather, which is obviously beyond your control (it rained at times during the day). The stops were interesting, and I enjoyed talking to Karolis (the guide) and the other travellers. Karolis did a great job as guide, with his knowledge of the sites, and was also a careful driver.
"Nice way to hit the road"
We really did enjoy that trip, our guide was lovely and as we were seating next to him we talked a lot about the countries and the culture. We loved the walk in the national park and the two cities of Cesis and Viljandi, we could have stayed there longer. The military museum was less interesting for us.
"Good experience and wonderful places!"
A nice option to reach Tallinn from Riga seeing beautiful places around Latvia and Estonia. Curious stories and a adventurous travel with people of different countries. Thank you!
"One Extraordinary day"
We spent a brilliant, fantastic day with Mike on our tour from Riga to Tallin, thank you Mike!! I recommend this trip for all the people who wants to travel this way: Riga to Tallin or back, enjoying the countryside and getting historically true/ real /interesting /rich information. We would happily repeat and repeat....
"Great tour guide "
My partner and I were sick of flying between cities on our trip to the Baltics so we decided to try this tour. I was worried I'd be stuck in a boring car all day wishing I had flown but I was pleasantly surprised :) The tour is a full day but the distance between stops is really well thought out and you don't feel like you have ever been stuck in the car too long. All stops were interesting and it was nice to see some of the countryside. There was a toilet at every stop and the longest time spent in the car was 2 hours at the end coming into Tallin. Our guide Katlin was awesome! A really lovely young lady who had an amazing knowledge of the history of the area, every question we asked her she was more than happy to answer honestly and she really knew her stuff. She gave great recommendations on places to eat in Tallinn and was super laid back. While the rest of the group slept in the back of the van she chatted with us up the front and made the trip very enjoyable. I can highly recommended her and the trip from Riga to Tallin. Thanks Katlin
"The perfect way to travel! "
Had a lovely transport and sightseeing tour with Kristel from Riga and to Tallinn. She was very knowledgeable, kind and solution oriented, when we were once again struck by the on-and-off showers from above. We saw some great attractions, learned a lot about Estonia and Latvia, and the almost 12 hours just flew by. Great way to get from Tallin to Riga while seeing something along the way - we especially loved travelling on the small roads and watching the fields and countryside.
"Fantastic city tour from Riga to Tallinn! :)"
We travelled from Vilnius to Riga. We think that this tour was the best choice during our baltic trip! Laura (our guide) was very kind and friendly and gave a lot of information about the visited places. Moreover, she has a great sense of homour, she has a lot of energy and very easy-going! Although the tour was long (12 hours) it was very interesting and we enjoyed every minute! The other passengers were also very nice, friendly and openminded, it was interesting to talk to each other. We recommend this tour everybody who would like to discover the essential of these countries and get unforgetable memories!
"absolutely recommended"
This was the second trip I took with this company. My tour guide was Laura. Despite her age, she was incredibly professional and very informative. surely being a history student helped. she did exactly what she was supposed to do. She was responsible, considerate and kind. The day was long. 12 hours. so many places to see and to do. unfortunately, we had very little time in places we stopped particularly in Viljandi and Cecis towns but as I said it is a long trip and I can totally understand the rush. The lunch stop was well chosen. The food was great (though more expensive than the one we had in Vilnius-Riga tour). I would strongly recommend this tour to anybody who is doing the Baltic tour. Thank you, Laura. you are a star!
"Fantastic day with a very knowledgeable guide"
This is such a great trip. Laura was a brilliant guide, she put 100% in all day and we learned so much about Latvian and Estonian history. Her knowledge about all aspects of Estonia was impressive and she coped with loads of "interesting" questions from a couple of our fellow travelers! We saw parts of the 2 counties that we would never have seen on a normal coach and especially enjoyed the short trek in the forest. Lunch was very good and, as we had pre-orded, served with the minimum of fuss and waiting time. On a seperate note, we would like to acknowledge the help from Heleene in the office as we managed to confuse the dates for our bookings and it took a few emails to make sure that it was all sorted. All in all, I can thoroughly recommend the company and the tour.
"Great way of traveling between cities. "
I liked the stops along the way, But maybe we should be given the option to actually use the bobsled as opposed to just visit the track. Cesis town was my favorite. Our tour guide was flexible and caring. He drove carefully and attentive. The only think I would change is the choice of restaurant for lunch. It was not an authentic restaurant but a hotel restaurant which to me doesn’t align with the feel of the trip. Everyone that was taking this tour in our van were experienced travelers looking for cool experiences. I think a more traditional place will be more appreciated. A special thank you to our tour guide which showed us “city people” how to pick blueberries! I never tasted any blueberries as good as those. I think we all felt it was super awesome to do. We looked like little kids picking and eating blueberries from the shrubs. :-)
"Great tour guide"
Although some of the stops are a little bit random (the museum is strange and none of the exhibits are in English), this is a great tour made even better by a brilliant, funny tour guide. The fact that there were only 4 of us on the bus made the day even better.
"Tour-iffic trip through Latvia and Estonia "
We had a fantastic time on our tour with our knowledgeable and friendly guide Karolis. The sights were unique and interesting (particularly Gauja National Park). Karolis was really knowledgeable about the plants and animals of the region, and we enjoyed getting to learn about local biodiversity. Plus the van was a very comfortable ride!
"Really lovely, scenic and informative... "
Me and my friend took the tour from Riga to Tallinn. There were many great activities on the way, but for us the highlight was the national park. So beautiful! Our tour guide Kamile was so friendly and informative and made the trip super special. She went out of her way to make everyone in the group comfortable. My friend is particularly interested in Baltic history and Kamile shared many fascinating stories with her that totally made her day. Highly recommended!
"History and Nature"
The trip was fun and I learned a lot from our guide.
"Interesting"
Very nice guide (Kamile), well prepared and full of energy. Highly recommend!
"Oh so very worth it!"
Really quite brilliant experience on this tour - coming from the UK I hold my hands up and admit I knew little about the Baltic nations and it was a brilliant insight into the nature, history and culture of the area. The guide Kamile was lovely and very informative, took very good care of us catering for anything we needed! We travelled alongside a group of friends from Luxembourg and a family from Romania which was also great for meeting new people and we had chances to share experiences over lunch and whilst exploring the beautiful and interesting locations we visited. So much learnt, so much to admire - for the price it is so worth the experience, the 12 hour journey passed by and it was a shame to have to end it!
"Jaan the Great"
Jaan created a great experience. At first we did not know what to expect. But after a few minutes we laughed and had fun already in the early morning. Jaan made us enthusiastic about both the Latvian as well as the Estonion history and culture. Jaan served us well and was flexible in accepting our requests. Beer, history and culture: wow!
"Riga to Tallin"
Stopped at enough places to make the trip interesting. Lunch at the hunting lodge was delish
"Best way to make the journey!"
Zero hassle way of travelling between two great cities, with stops along the way at locations I would never have found otherwise. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and the sights were amazing. Would definitely recommend.
"Interesting way to get between cities"
I really liked that we were able to see multiple cities, but I wish we had more free time to explore (even just 15 to 20 minutes). Everything was a bit too rigid. I really wanted to spend more time in Gauja National Park and in Viljandi. The tour was still good though and if you want to see more cities, it is definitely worth it. I was really thankful that the guide dropped us off at our hotel too!
"Catchy Headline"
This tour is a convenient way to get from one city to the next and learn/see some things along the way - though it does make for a long day. Our guide, Karolis was very knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. He really knows his nature so he was able to give much more insight during the short hiking portion. I enjoyed most aspects of the tour but I could have passed on the military museum. The history is interesting but the entire museum was in Estonian so besides Karolis’ explanation there wasn’t much to engage with. I would have rather used that time to visit another place or even have a short guided walk at our destination. The other locations are quite nice though - especially Viljandi. All in all, I would recommend the tour - just bring snacks and be prepared for a long day!
"Beautiful countryside, great experience"
We loved the tour from Riga to Tallinn. Beautiful countryside, breathtaking views and a very knowledgeable guide. We choose the private group tour and it was perfect for 4 people(two couples). I would definitely recommend the experience and the history lesson.
"Riga-Tallin"
A great experience. A very peaceful and kind guide. He gave us a lot of information about plants in the Gauja parc as he is a biologist.
"Great tour! "
The tour was fantastic, as was our guide! I loved all the stops, especially the national park. Beautiful landscapes and wonderful towns! We even had a little karaoke session on the longer part of the drive through Estonia! We have the perfect tour size and awesome people who made it all a great trip. It was also special to see smaller towns and to get out of the bigger cities!
"Well organized tour to Tallinn! Beats just a bus ride"
The tour was a great way to see Latvia/Estonia before getting to Tallinn. While it stops in Sigulda, the tour does not include the Bobsleigh so recommend going by train (or car) separately if you want to ride the bob sleigh (only on weekends). I enjoyed the stops along the way, but could have skipped the museum. Mikelis got us into Tallinn at 9 pm as promised. My favorite part was the Gaujas National Park which was beautiful, and Mikelis was very passionate about the park and the plants.
"Excellent tour"
It was an excellent tour, with well planned stops and Anna's joyful personality. The only thing that needed improvement was the meeting place. Address given was a bar and since we arrived early, we could not be sure if we were at the right place. A little bit more descriptive information would have helped tremendously.
"A very nice way to reach Tallin’"
If you go to Tallin from Rīga do not hesitate to take this tour. The places we visit were all interesting, each in its own way, and our guide, Laura, was excellent. She was extra nice and told us a lot about the history, society, way people of these countries live.
"Diverse and entertained "
A very nice way to travel between cities!
"Guided tour to Tallin!"
We had planned a small tour starting in Riga and finishing in Helsinki before we went back home to Sweden. Instead of just taking the bus from Riga to Tallin we were happy to find a guided tour. Our guide was very good and lively and made the tour to a nice experience. It was also nice to meet some interesting people from other countries since we shared the van with some Canadians and Americans. I absolutely recommend this tour! My favorite stop was in Cēsis.
"Anna Bonanza"
Anna was fantastic. There ended up only myself and another couple which was brilliant. We saw a wide range of sites and it made the travel fun and exciting. We were well taken care of. I also got to play my music the whole way and the lunch was lovely!
"Riga to Talinn tour"
Lovely guide - very helpful and knowledgeable!
"A nice trip"
We spent almost 12 hours discovering some of the most interesting places between Riga and Tallinn, enjoying the tales of our guide. Normally this kind of tours has tight rhythms, but this time I felt it relaxed and relaxing, so it was particularly pleasant. Thanks to our friendly guide and to her sociable attitude I learned many things.
"Great way to get from Riga to Tallinn learning more about the history and culture of Latvia and Estonia "
Kätlin was a great guide and driver. She told us about the history, geography and culture of Latvia and Estonia in a humorous way.
"Small, well paced and friendly"
The points of interest along the way we’re well chosen, with a good time span. Lunch was yum. Our guide/driver was a delight.
"High Recommend"
A excellent way to travel between Riga and Tallinn and see the countryside. I enjoyed the stops. The guides were very informative but would have preferred less time at military museum and more time at Cesis.
"Good group of travelers, good guide, good visiting schedule"
Took the tour on June 22nd and It was a very good way to explore the area, mostly because I didn't have the time to explore the places by myself. The other travelers in my tour were great and the guide was also very knowledgeable ( I think it was Jaan). I asked to be dropped off half of the way to catch a bus to Tartu and they manged pretty well my special request. It was really worth it. Highly recommended.
"Fun but with some serious history"
This tour shows you a lot on what would be a dull journey by an ordinary bus on main roads. In Latvia you get the novelty of the former Soviet bobsleigh track, which is still in use, quaint small town life at Cesis and a quiet forest by a river beach in a nerdy national park. On the Estonian side there is a museum telling the history of the 20th century from a distinctly Estonian perspective and a ruined caste at Viljandi completely with a giant swing that all ages can play on. Our guide was very friendly and informative
"A lovely day on the road "
The transfer from Riga to Tallinn was truly enriched by this tour. Charming historic towns and beautiful nature made for a perfect combination. Highly recommended!
"Wonderfull Tour by a lovely tourguide named Kamile"
So this wasn’t the fist time I did a tour with Travellers. I also did the tour from Vilnius to Riga. And I was so lucky to have Kamile for both of the tours. She is a very spontaneous woman who can bring a story very well. In the militairy museum she gold us the emotional story of her grandmother. I never thanked her for that so I hope she will trad this. And I think she will.
"Interesting Tour"
Our guide Karolis is a young and energetic guide. He tried to do his best to make the trip comfortable and interesting. He is very kind and try to explain in details on the tour points. Unfortunately the weather is bad. So I put the overall rating as 4 stars. I believe under good weather condition, the tour will be rated as 5 stars.
"The Twist: Nick’s first tour as a guide"
First of all, I want to say that my guides were incredibly entertaining and quite knowledgeable. A Estonian and a Latvian helped give perspective from both sides while also highlighting the shared bond between the Baltic nations. I hate to admit that we all said goodbye rather quickly once we reached Tallinn because everyone seemed tired...in my case I had partied the night before in Riga so staying up was a challenge. I’m very glad I took this specialized tour, made my adventure in the Baltics truly unforgettable and unique. If possible, please pass on my info to both guides. Would love to reconnect. They shocked me at the end of the trip announcing that it was Mick’s first day on the job. Quite a twist. He’s a pro. On LinkedIn: Juan G. Perez On Instagram (pics of the tour): juanygpa I forget my girl guide’s name, the Estonian, my apologies
"Turned what should have been the most boring day of our holiday into the best day of our holiday"
We're still blown away by the sheer force of nature that is (Estonian) Laura, our wonderful guide for the day. Nothing was too much trouble, she went way beyond the call of duty to make sure we had a great and memorable day. If anyone is considering a trip from Riga to Tallinn this has to be the ONLY way to do it. We can't recommend it enough and Laura, we look forward to hopefully one day making you feel as welcome in the UK as you made us feel in Latvia and Estonia.
"Super knowledgeable guide"
Our guide Laura (Estonia) was so sweet and engaging. She is also super knowledgeable with her History major background (must have been an ace student). She was eagerly answering all our questions for 9 whole hours non stop, I feel bad for her throat! :× I gained so much knowledge of Estonia by the end of it, that I could answer some of the otber guide's questions and give other tourist interesting facts!
"Fantastic day out"
Jaan was a fantastic guide who made the journey fun and informative. We saw some interesting sights and learnt a lot of important history about Estonia. I especially liked the museum stop. The museum itself wasn't exceptional but Jaan's narrative on modern Estonia using the exhibits was great. Totally recommended.
"Another amazing tour"
To complete our tour of the Baltics, we of course had to go to quiet Estonia. Our tour guide grew up in Tartu and currently resides in Tallinn so he knew the area very well. There are a couple of stops in Latvia where you get to see the remnants of an old castle. You get to see the sand stone cliffs though beware that this is a hike of climbing stairs so make sure to wear sneakers. Our guide was very nice and provided us with bug spray because of the mosquitoes but the real problem turned out to be the flies that circled your head and never landed which actually led to the 6 o'clock fly story so even that had a positive spin to things. Lunch was just over the Estonian border in the city of two countries (Valka in Latvian and Valga in Estonian) and this was followed by a trip to a military museum where Jaan shared his personal experience in the mandatory defence forces and what it was like to grow up during all of these changing times for Estonia. He also picked out some items to give funny stories to make the museum more light hearted. That part of the trip alone would have earned this tour 5 stars. We then went to see the ruins of a castle and it's three lines of defence and while there, we got to try out the kiik. We definitely didn't go 360 but it was still fun. We got dropped of in Old Town of Tallinn between the information center and freedom square so it was really easy to navigate. Great job Jaan. Sorry Estonia didn't pick the hedgehog as the national animal.
"Jaan was great ... I'd change some of the itinerary"
Overall, a good experience. Jaan was a good guide ... friendly, knowledgeable, excellent English. I would change up some of the itinerary. In particular, I'd skip the bobsled facility in Sigulda (especially in the summer, when there really isn't much to see) and spend more time on the Sietiniezis trail and in Cesis and Vijandi. LIked the lunch stop; in Valga, I would recommend spending less time inside the military museum and allowing time to wander outside among the military vehicles.
"It was a great way to get from Riga to Tallinn"
We learned so much about the history of the Baltic region and of Estonia, and how the people live. Andres was knowledgeable as well as entertaining. Also, he was a good and careful driver. We enjoyed seeing the countryside, the national park, and the small towns along the way. The bobsled run and the museum were not for us, but some people might like them. As a suggestion, we would rather have had at least some part of the trip along the coast, if such a thing is possible, given the time constraints of the day.
"Kristal is a doll..smart too!"
Kristal discussed not just Estonian history but offered a lot of modern cultural and political information that we and our fellow travelers requested. We feel lucky that we got her. She said our hotel was en route so dropped us at the door before proceeding to old town with the other passengers. Thanks Kristal!
"Roadtrip on a sunny day"
My family of 7 booked this tour and we are so glad we did. Our guide Mario (Marju) was so pleasant and well informed. She answered any question we had and made the journey so interesting. We visited some lovely places along the way and even got to go swimming in a river and a lake . The time passed so fast and our guide was a great driver .
"Great tour"
My wife & I were picked up from our Vilnius hotel on time. Group comprised only 3. Tour guide (Andrea's? ..) was very informative throughout the tour, interesting, amusing, safe driving and telling us of his personal life as a Lithuanian. We were given sufficient 'free time' at sites to explore for ourselves. We were dropped off at our Riga hotel on time at the end of a most enjoyable day. We were so impressed with the tour that we decided to take a similar tour/transfer between Riga & Tallinn. I'm more than happy to recommend a Traveller day tour from Vilnius to Riga to others.
"Loved every moment of the tour"
My 66 year old mom and I had a great time. The van was comfortable and interesting sights were included in the tour. The bobsleigh track was not as steep as it looked and my mom who wasn't exactly agile could walk on it. The restaurant served tasty lunch at reasonable price. The sights in Viljandi, Valga, Cēsis, and Sigulda were interesting and so the 12-hour tour did not feel dragged on.
"No better way to travel between cities in the Baltics!"
(I have also reviewed the Vilnius-Riga tour with similar high marks). We traveled to the Baltics with my elderly father, and to make things easier for him, we looked at more organized tours than we might have on our own. We considered driving, taking the train or a direct bus, but I'm so glad we opted for this small van tour. Very interesting way to see out of the ordinary places with well-informed guides who were very responsive to group interests and questions. This "transit" experience turned out to be one of the highlights of our 17 day trip. Highly recommended!
"Interactive and well organized"
The tour has about 5 stop in latvia and estonia. We liked most the medieval towns, the national park and the restaurant where stopped to eat. And Laura, our guide was fun and made the day very interactive.
"History, sights and fun"
The only way to get from Riga to Tallinn. Great tour guide. Thanks Liine.
"Un buon tour"
Un bel tour soprattutto la tappa del Gauja national park, opinabile la scelta del museo militare di Valga per le scritte solo in estone. La guida era molto preparata, ma dava lunghe spiegazioni parlando molto velocemente perciò, avendo una limitata conoscenza dell'inglese, a volte non riuscivo ad ascoltare completamente il discorso.
"Much Better way to travel from Riga to Tallinn"
So the arrangement of the ticket can be better at least an online pdf etc a proof that we bought something ;) but the guide was friendly and talkative also the places we visited were nice. It is a small van which makes it also agile. All in all I had good time and it was worth it.
"Amazing trip "
It was a well planned and well executed trip
"What a great and funny trip to Tallinn!!"
We took the traveller tours bus from Riga to Tallinn. It was the best choice! We had an amazing trip with lots of nice stops at different spots which were all really worth it to see! Thanks to Traveller Tours and especially to Kert who made this experience possible :) he also was very funny, we could ask questions whenever we wanted to. In general it was just very nice to have a talk with him. We definitely would choose this option to travel from Riga to Tallinn again!
"The Perfect tour"
We booked a private tour from Riga to Tallinn. Right on time our guide Andres arrived at our hotel. Andres is extremely knowledgeable and has a vibrant personality that made the day spent with him a real pleasure. Despite freezing temperatures and snow we covered all the wonderful sights on our itinerary before the early dark of winter descended. The day was the highlight of our European trip.
"The most fabulous tour ever - must go"
Andres is an accommodative, friendly and caring guide. We went to the bob sledding track to see and understand the sport. Fauna’s National park. The local cosy homey cafe for lunch. Cesis town. Viljandi town and head to Tallinn. You are able to see and visit places that you don't know and have difficult to get to. Andres even took us to our hostel to save us the time. I really liked this tour and feel so happy it took it.
"Ok"
The guide was a friendly young man doing his best. Unfortunately his English was not so good. As a driver he seemed to have trouble shifting gears. Finally he had a strong smell of sweat over him, every passenger noticed that...
"1 day trip Riga-Tallinn"
Excelent way to go from one city to another. Our guide, Tiin, is such a good storyteller, (also a driver), she made our day with historic facts&emotional stories about the war and the baltics in general. The stops between Riga and Tallinn were what we need it: an escape from the capitals to enjoy some nature and go local. Also the place were we ate was nice&cozy and thw food really good.
"Disappointing and overpriced"
Unfortunately, after reading other reviews, our expectations of this tour were high and they were not met. The weather didn’t help as we could not make one stop due to incessant rain and the short stroll in the National Park was pretty miserable. However, the other three stops were fairly irrelevant. There was nothing to see at the bobsleigh track and the military museum was nothing more than a glorified antique shop, selling war medals to people who didn’t earn them. The medieval town was pretty but again, had very little to see.it was definitely not worth dedicating 12 hours to seeing. Our guide was friendly and very open to questions but his inexperience was obvious. The lunch we chose was delicious but overall, we definitely would not be recommending this trip.
"Fantastic tour from Riga to Tallinn"
We had a great tour with Triin from Riga to Tallinn. It was one of the highlights of our trip. We got to visit places we never would have been able to by ourselves. Our guide was great and she told us a lot about the history of the Baltics. We specifically designed our vacation around this Riga-Tallinn tour and we weren't disappointed. I would recommend it to everyone traveling through the region.
"Riga-Tallinn trip"
Me and my friend have booked a trip from Riga to Tallin. Our guide was Kert and the trip could not be better! Despite the freezing weather we have seen several marvellous places, have learnt from Kert a billion of interesting facts and stories and have enjoyed the company of each other. Kert is a nice, helpful, flexible and joyful guide, who respected our wishes and needs. We are glad that this tour was with him!
