"Great way to great sights in Riga & Tallin!"

Our guide; Janaar (hope I got his name right!), arrive on the dot, help us with our luggages & we set off on time. Janaar was kind, knowledgeable & able to share his insights with us. The pace was leisurely & we were not “rushed” from place to place! This tour is highly recommended; from Riga to Tallin or vice versa), as most of these sights are far from Tallin or Riga; getting to these places on your own would consume a considerable amount of time travelling back & forth. Our arrival in Tallin was as indicated; neither late or early. Thanks to Janaar for being able to manage our time very well. "Amazing Tour"

First of all, I would like to say that this was a really enjoyable tour. The places visited along the way from Riga to Vilnius were beautiful and gave us the chance to discover both countries in greater depth. Our guide, Laura, was absolutely fantastic! She managed to create a warm and friendly atmosphere among everyone on the tour, which is not always easy considering we were all coming from very different countries and backgrounds. She did a great job of bringing the group together and making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The only thing I think could be improved is the amount of time spent at each stop, especially Rundale Palace and Kaunas. In my opinion, both places deserve at least twice as much time. I understand that this is difficult to fit into a one-day tour, but perhaps it could be worth considering a two-day version of the trip, including an overnight stay. That would allow visitors to enjoy these places properly, as I personally felt that one hour at each was simply not enough. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience and definitely a tour I would recommend.

"To travel efficiently between cities"

We traveled from Vilnius to Riga as a group of seven. While each of us explored the sightseeing spots individually, we all sat together around a round table for lunch. It wasn’t just a simple transfer between cities — the tour took us to several remarkable places that would be quite difficult to visit on our own. I found it extremely efficient. My only regret is that we couldn’t visit the interior of Rundāle Palace.

Laura was our guide and she absolutely aced it with her personality, knowledge and driving skills. She made sure we had ample time in each destination, took care of any issues, and provided just enough commentary to be informative and not overloading us. The destinations themselves were varied in atmosphere and tone, but all were memorable and well worth the time. The weather was unpredictable, from sun to rain and back to grey skies, but we still managed to have fun.

It was a very nice day from Riga to Tallinn. 5 people (2 of the former tour Vilnius-Riga which was very nice) and we went to 4 very different but beautiful places, for me, the Guaja NP was my nr 1. Our tour guide Helen was young and pretty shy but she was very warm hearted and kind, she made our day wonderful, thank you for that. She even dropped us off at our hotel, which was a bonus after a long day! but worth it!

If you’re traveling from Vilnius to Riga, the Traveller tour is an excellent option. My wife and I had a chance to see the Lithuanian and Latvian countryside as well as tour places we might not have visited. The van was air conditioned, new and comfortable. Our guide, Laura, enhanced our visit to the Baltics by sharing history and giving us insights into the Baltic peoples. Laura was energetic, entertaining and fun! I really enjoyed the experience. It allows you to travel between locations while visiting tourist spots that are otherwise difficult to reach. Laura was a cheerful and courteous guide, and her excellent driving put me completely at ease. She was also very helpful in dropping me off at my hotel upon our return to Vilnius. Please note—though this is likely only relevant to Japanese travelers—that the sightseeing in Kaunas is limited to the Old Town; there is no time to visit the former Japanese Consulate associated with Chiune Sugihara.

Our experience with Rūta from Vilnius to Riga was fantastic. She is so knowledgeable and passionate that made the trip and every stop a great experience. She was always ensuring that we had all of our needs satisfied. She even managed to stop to be able to see the solar eclipse. Also the van and driving were perfect. Totally recommended.

Although it was a rainy for the trip, we still enjoyed the tourist attraction arranged by Traveller Tour. Matiss is a responsible tour guide. We were very grateful for his detailed introduction to the attractions and their history, as well as his warm hospitality.

Laura is an amazing guide and person, which so much energy and fun! She definitely loves her country a lot, and doesn’t hesitate to share all the facts. She brought us in a very traditional Lithuanian restaurant, and the the tour itself was very interesting despite the long journey. At the end, it felt a little bit tired but it’s part of the experience.

We took a private sightseeing bus so that we could have the chance to see some of the sites while going from Vilnius to Riga. Matiss was very helpful and informative and was an excellent guide - providing lots of extra facts and historical context. We stopped in a number of places and Matiss bespoked the tour for us adding in extra stops for areas that were a particular interest for us. Overall we are really glad that we did this tour and provided a number of highlights that we would have missed just taking a bus between the two cities. Worth noting that this was a full day tour, leaving at 9am and arriving 8.30pm in Riga

"Super nice day from Vilnius to Riga"

I had a very great time, travelling with Laura, she is a very good experienced guide and tells a lot! We were 7 people in total, plus my guide dog, which was a great opportunity and which was superb. I enjoyed it so much, that I also booked for Riga-Tallinn which was great too! Tour guide Hellen was less talkerative but she is very sweet and patient, ahe had a very good vibe. Seen a lot on both trips beautiful countries Lituania Latvia and Estonia, beyond expectations. I would definitely book again with you. It would be good to expand your trips to eg. Finland and Scandinavië 😀 I would fpr sure book. I will spread the wording for you for the Baltics, thank you!

"Slow down and see the sights!"

Laura is a knowledgeable and vibrant guide who made sure the trip ran smoothly. We had stops in places we would never have gone to on our own. With 7 passengers on board I did feel a bit cramped (I have long legs), and it is a long day. A good tip would be to offer passengers to rotate through the front seat so everyone gets a chance to stretch out for a time.

This tour was an absolutely wonderful way to make the transfer from Vilnius to Riga. It made what could have been a tedious day of traveling from Point A to Point B into an delightful opportunity to visit well-curated sites out in the countryside. The pacing was very good with the various stops well spaced out. Laura was welcoming, energetic, knowledgeable and such a great cheerleader for Lithuania. She gave clear guidance and suggestions and used our time well. We felt the trip was a really good value as it was a full day of customized sightseeing and long-distance transport all rolled into one package. Highly, highly recommended.

A nice day trip and good alternative to direct transfer, as you get to see a lot in between locations. Especially loved Rundale Palace, it's hands down amazing, and the Hill of Crossed, quite interesting spot.

I have actually taken this exact tour twice with different tour guides. Why? I bought different family members to travel Latvia and Lithuania. Both times on this tour were fantastic. Great route, lots to see. I love the stop for lunch chosen by the guide at an authentic restaurant. These are the best tours. Always a highlight. We couldn't have asked for a better way to travel between Riga and Tallinn. Our guide, Daumants, made the entire experience truly special. "Excellent guide, but lackluster stops"

Helen, our guide, was sweet, efficient and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the bobsled track, but the remaining stops were a bit underwhelming. That said, the transfer tour did its job -- it made what would otherwise have been just a "travel day" also a vacation day, with a pleasant driver and one "A level" and a few "B or B-stops."

We were so lucky to have Laura as our tour guide! She is a wonderful person—so positive, artistic, friendly, and radiant—and an excellent driver, too! I usually feel anxious when traveling by car, but I felt completely at ease in the van. Laura told us about the sights, shared interesting historical facts, drew comparisons between Lithuania and Latvia, and showed us impressive spots along the way. "Awesome bang for your buck"

This was definitely the way to travel between Riga and Vilnius! When my friend and I started exploring what would be cool to see while in the Baltics, we realized the logistics could be a little tricky for getting everywhere conveniently. This tour helped us hit up a lot of things that would have been difficult to manage on our own, and in addition we got Laura as a wonderful guide. The pride she takes in her homeland is very evident from the start, and she does an excellent job of sharing her enthusiasm and knowledge with those on the trip. I got to learn and see so much in one day - definitely the most dense tour I've probably been on without feeling overwhelming, and Laura made sure to communicate well about the plan and check in with everybody to make sure we were doing well. Definitely highly recommend this tour (and probably any others the company puts on if you can swing them)!

A few days earlier, we also took the trip from Tallin to Riga with Kullo which was also an excellent experience. We visited in May & it was a nice bonus to see the storks taking care of their large nests. Highly recommend for the variety & ease of travel as a way to see the countyside between the Baltic capitals.

"Great roadtrip"

This tour changes the concept of a travel day. It has everything from bobslee track (so much more interesting than one could imagine), nature, old towns and castles. The lunch stop at the brewery was very nice. Our guide told us a lot about nature and the history of both Latvia and Estonia. This is the best way to travel between Riga and Tallinn

Matiss was our tour guide. There were only 3 of us and him. He is young but so knowledgeable! He shared so much information with us. He made the tour very interesting! We all enjoyed the tour. He took us to a real neat restaurant for lunch. We even saw a ‘traditional Lithuanian home’ . I highly recommend Matiss!!! He was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. He is awesome!!!

"Run down the bobsleigh track!"

We were so excited that we were allowed to not only walk on the track but run down it. Our daughter really loved riding down it in her stroller. We had a great time and appreciated the variety of stops (bobsleigh, smaller towns, and national park). We also really enjoyed the lunch food and chatting with our guide! Definitely a great way to make the most out of getting from one city to another.

We really enjoyed our time with Ruta. She was very accommodating of our family with a young child. We loved that we stopped at 4 places. This was a great way to see some of the places that are not as accessible from the main cities without a driver. It really makes the most of the trip between cities that would otherwise have been wasted time on our short trip.

Despite the bad weather, our guide took our preferences into account and skillfully adjusted the pace of the tour—spending more time where appropriate and skipping certain parts when needed. We were able to learn about Lithuania’s history as well as the deep sense of love its people have for their country, making it a very meaningful experience.

Scenic, informative, comfortable way to get to Vilnius from Riga. Van was comfy, drive good, albeit long with 4 stops along way. I would suggest tour company drop Kaunas so you get there faster and add the interior Palace tour to trip instead of Gardens ( even if upping overall tour price by 10 euro). Driver was informative and helpful though for me ,on occasion, drove too fast.

This tour was a must for us. We learned a lot from the Latvian an Estonian culture and history. Kullo, our guide, gave us a masterclass of history and geopolitics. It was amazing. My sons and me enjoyed so much. All we visit during our way to Tallin was beautiful. The Ice Park for training in Latvia, The Gauja Park, the detailled explanation about the sandstones and clifts, Cesis Castle, the frozen lake, the swing in the last stop we had. Kullo took the time to explain everything in detail and give us a great and unforgetable living and learning experience. 100% recommended. Best way of traveling from Riga to Tallin and know you were not going to see on the regular bus or plane.

We had a fantastic tour with Laura who told a lot of interesting stories. The itinerary was great and we visited a lot of beautiful locations along the way. We had a great trip from Riga to Vilnius on the sightseeing tour bus. Our driver Matiss was a bit of a legend- he drove safely and gave us lots of information about the stops on the way. He dropped us to the door of our accommodation which was really appreciated. He even came back and brought something to us that we had left behind on the van. He also gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Can I actually rate the trip 6 stars??? ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Did a private tour from Vilnius to Riga, luggage and all. Definitely worth the drive to see the countryside and the sites listed. Hill of Crosses was worth it alone! "Wonderful PRIVATE Tour Riga-Parnu-Tallinn"

I highly recommend making this a private tour to enable flexibility. My guide and I were able to take the time we wanted to see the sights. Parnu was fabulous, not many tourists from outside of the Baltics visit, but I highly recommend! Kullo was great! He was on time, kind, and provided just the right information about Estonia - sometimes guides can be info overload - I felt Kullo provided me with a fabulous dose of history and cultural facts during our day long trek!

"Unexpected journey on 2, October 2025"

Initially,just take it as a normal travel trip by bus as usual. Finally it became an expected trip for the whole day! The driver/guilde arranged the view points and time schedules perfectly so we all forgot the long day trip in comfortable van. We have lunch in a traditional restaurant with beautiful views. We still have chance to see the beautiful sunset in Kanas. Thanks for the driver/guild so much as he dropped us to the hostel one by one when arriving in dark night! Strongly recommend this trip to anyone who plan to Vilnius from Riga!

"Enjoyable trip between Riga and vilnius"

We left Riga on time and we visited 4 sights during our 11 hour journey-salapils memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses and Kaunas. All 4 sights were very interesting and we would be hard pressed to do it ourselves in a day. We also stopped for lunch in a nice Lithuanian restaurant. Our guide Matiss (Matthew?) was knowledgeable and a good driver. He would share the history of each location and leave us with sufficient time to explore on our own. We were expecting to find our way to our accommodation on arrival at Vilnius but he dropped us off instead. I would highly recommend taking this trip (and the similar Tallinn to Riga) if you are traveling between these cities, don’t fancy driving but still want to visit some sights and see some of the country.

Never a boring moment with Laura ,as she toured our group of 7 from Riga to Lithuania. She made us glued to the scenery, history,and culture of the places we visited. Passionate and patriotic, she gave us a great insight about Lithuania and the Baltics. Will definitely recommend her and her company.

We loved our drive from Riga to Vilnius with Laura. She was incredibly energetic and enthusiastic about her home country Lithuania! We stopped at several places along the way that were just wonderful and so historical, Salaspils memoriāls, Rundales Palace, Hill of Crosses, Kaunas, and Trakai Castle! There are a lot of renovations being done at both Kaunas (in the square) and at Trakai Castle - just a heads up before visiting!

Brilliant trip - Kaunas was a pleasant place to pass an hour, the Hill of Crosses was jaw-dropping, Rundale Palace was very pretty and the Salispils Memorial a thought-provoking end. Laura was a superb guide - informative, enthusiastic and fun - we gained an extra insight into the Lithuanian psyche.

Ruth (English Equivalent) was both charming and knowledgeable and made a long day very interesting. I am sure we saw sites that many tourist would not see.

I had an excellent day traveling from Riga to Tallin. We got to see so many things that I would have missed if I took a train or direct bus. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see some of the beautiful countryside in Latvia and Estonia and get a deeper insight into each country.

She is very knowledgeable about the region and can tell you a lot about the more esoteric parts of Estonian history, religion, tradition, and culture, if you’re interested as well. Aside from that, it was very fun! Lots of beautiful sights throughout Latvia and Estonia, and I felt I was given a very thorough and entertaining introduction to the two countries. I would highly recommend Traveller Tours and Johanna specifically to anyone!

"Amazing Opportunity To Travel Off The Beaten Path From Riga To Tallinn!"

This was such a fantastic experience & a really enriching way to travel from two capital cities avoiding the dull highway or public transport. Such a rich texture of places visited including rural villages & town, forest & beyond. Johanna especially made our trip as engaging as possible & it was a real treat to be part of a small group to maximise her time & knowledge of the two countries. 100% would do this again & can't recommend traveller tours enough!

What a great way to travel from Riga to Tallinn. Of course you can do it quicker but this combined a history lesson, sightseeing as well as personal insights. This was a great day, and for me (who I did not have a rental car) the perfect way of combining transfer with discovering the beautiful countryside and sights between Vilnius and Riga. It was great to discover less touristy places such as Kaunas and the memorial site outside of Riga, and also to see the Hill of Crosses which is otherwise so hard to reach by public transport. The trip was hugely enhanced by our guid Ruta who was very knowledgeable and provided a really insightful local (Latvian) perspective on the region.

Definitely worth taking the tour. Got to stop at places we wouldn’t have otherwise. Trip takes a lot longer than the direct bus, but it was worth it. The descriptions at the sites were pretty limited but enough. Just don’t expect a running commentary of the countryside as you’re getting there. But we were in the van, and the van driver was not a regular tour guide. The regular tour guide was in her car with three other people. So they might’ve had a different experience. But I’m glad they were able to fit us in. Otherwise, we would’ve taken a regular bus and would’ve missed these sites.

Tour is an exceptional opportunity to see outside of the big cities and experience other landmarks you might not get to easily. I learned a lot on this trip. Our guide seemed knowledgeable, enjoyed traveling with us and gave us good tips for food. It might not be the culture in these parts of the world but it could be good to create an online opportunity or follow up for clients to give a tip if they wish. Many people don't carry much cash anymore so could be something to consider. It's not a requirement but certainly not a bad idea.

This was a very good tour and a creative way to see the country. We enjoyed the sights and the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. We wished she had a microphone in the van because we couldn't hear her comments when people had questions. I would have LOVED more details on history, life in Estonia and Latvia (anything from day to day life, nature, foods, climate, language etc--although some of these topics might be "normal" to you, it is all new for visitors and very interesting to us. She always knew everything we asked her and answered questions thoroughly.

Our guide Laura was amazing. She was so knowledgeable, teaching us along the route about Lithuanian and Latvian, history, culture, and language. We were two Americans, and the other two guests were from Hong Kong and Singapore. We all had such fun conversations throughout the trip! The places we stopped were interesting, beautiful, and often very moving, and we had ample time to explore each one. The van was very nice and comfortable. The original meeting spot seemed a bit unclear at first, but we called the customer service number and got the help we needed to find our guide. Pick-up in Riga was on time, Johanna welcomed us to the tour and fortunately she was such an easy-going guide - we chatted 10 hours non-stop and got on well from the word go. The stops along the way were worthwhile, from the bob-sledge track in Sigulda, Cesis with its medieval character and a nice walk in the Gauja National Park - all amazing. The downside was that we had the tour around the holidays and most of the sights were closed, We missed the soviet era museum, as it was also closed, which we were quite excited about. We were upset because no one informed us in advance, that everything would be closed, to decide if the cost of the tour is worth it for us considering. (It is not common knowledge especially as practices differ from country to country) Be sure to check if things are open when you plan to visit.

This is a long day but very interesting and so much better than flying or traveling via bus. We stopped at Kaunas, Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils. I really like this idea of sightseeing from one place to another. I have travelled the world and been from country to country. I think it is clever and great to have this option rather than just taking a bus from one place to another. I was able to see a lot of sites that I wouldn’t have been able to go to due to time constraints. Ruta was knowledgeable and friendly. The van was comfortable as there were only 6 of us rather than 8. The restaurant we stopped at served delicious food with reasonable prices. The perfect way to go from Riga to Vilnius. We got to see the country-side and had several very interesting stops. Our guide, Laura, was fabulous: energetic, very knowledgeable and so much fun. Highly recommended

My van is good. The staff is kind and professinal. Lunch is delicious and not expensive. The programe is sufficient. Usually one day tour from Riga to Rundale palace is 60-80€ and one day tour from Vilnius to hill of crosses is about 50-60euro. So it is a most valueable way to transfer from Riga to Vilnius.

We really enjoyed this tour! We don't drive, which made it challenging when planning a trip that would take us to all of the key places we wanted to visit in Latvia and Lithuania. This tour was perfect because it took us to many of those places while also moving us along to Vilnius, the next stop on our Baltic journey! Laura, our tour guide, was great. She is energetic and kept the tour moving along with the perfect amount of time to visit each place. If you unfortunately fell asleep in the car (jet lag, not boredom!), you didn't miss important details, as she saved the key facts for our stops to see the various sites. Laura somehow remembered everyone's names! There was a good variation in the types of sites we visited. A must see for us was the Hill of Crosses, and we were glad we saw it! We were also glad to visit the Salaspils Memorial and the Rundale Palace. It's hard to choose, but my favourite place we visited was Kaunas. We took this tour in December, so the Christmas Market there was a site to see, especially lit up at night! This was a jam-packed day, but a great way to travel between Riga and Vilnius and see unique sites along the way. We highly recommend this tour or the same tour in the other direction.

I can't recommend this tour enough. We were a group of 8 women traveling together, and this transfer tour made the process of moving all of us (and all of our luggage) from one city to the other not just completely painless, but also genuinely enjoyable. This is the best way to see both countries more than just the capital cities and it's the most time-efficient way. So much better than a boring bus ride if you go direct between the 2 cities. I had wanted to visit the Hill of Crosses before coming to this region, and it would have been an extra day's excursion from Vilnius if I hadn't joined this tour. It was a fantastic trip! I also had chance to visit some places that I hadn't heard of before. Laura was very friendly, enthusiastic and fun. I feel very lucky to have her as the guide. Unless you are flying or self-driving, this tour is your best option travelling between Riga and Vilnius!

Excellent tour to explore beautiful sights on the way from city to another. Laura was the most accomodating guide, she gave us good introductions to all of the sights before we went to explore them independently. Timing was spot on, did not feel rushed and even though this is a full day trip, it was not as exausting as I though before booking. We were delighted to see Mike at the Riga meeting point since he had recently escorted us from Tallinn to Riga. Mike has a good singing voice and is spontaneous with his stories. Like any good story teller, he does not let you know at the beginning that he is going into story mode. The weather cooperated with our journey. Although Mike did not have to deliver us our hotel, he surprised us again by doing just that. It is a wonderful way to enjoy sights while enjoying the weather, Mike's stories, and seeing interesting sights along the way. What a nice combination to create a terrific travel memory.

We took the trip on August 26th and it was well worth it as was the trip from Vilnius to Riga. There is temptation to just see the 3 Baltic capitals but this is a mistake. These trips enable you to see more of the 3 countries. This tour had 5 different u Interesting stops plus an excellent lunch at a brewery. Mike the guide was excellent. Highly recommended

The day tour was great value for money in my opinion much better than just catching a coach. We saw interesting stops between Riga + Vilnius that we would have totally missed otherwise. It was a small bus so you were never waiting around for other people. The lunch stop was good, no complaints. Ps traveller tours are really good to deal with, any issues that arise their team are really responsive and professional.

When travelling between the Baltic capitals its tempting to take the quickest route but that would be a mistake. Instead for a bit more money take the guided sight seeing mini bus / people carrier and see more of Lithuania and Latvia. The vehicle was very comfortable but the highlight was our guide Laura. She was full of information, very chatty and great fun. All in all highly recommended

Brilliant way to see more out-of-the-way places between Riga and Latvia. Laura had endless enthusiasm for her country, and was so helpful. Trip ran on time and comfortable air-conditioned minibus. This was a great way to see a little of both Latvia and Lithuania other than the cities, and was made even better by Laura, who had more energy for 12 hours straight than you could possibly imagine. This was my second tour and there were four of us who previously took the Tallinn-Riga bus two days earlier. The only downside is that the lunch restaurant ran out of beer, which I think may have been a capital offense in Lithuania, although the venison sausages were delicious.

We traveled from Vilnius to Riga with Laura. The meeting point is not clearly described, a map with an X would be helpful. Luckily Laura was searching around for people. Kaunas (1 hour is too short), Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils are great stops. Laura is a good driver and a bottomless pit of energy. Hope to meet you again some day.

Very informative and enthusiastic guide who drove us across Vilnius to Riga. Ride was comfortable and spacious. Best of all, this was a great way to see Hill of Crosses without the logistical headache. Love to see more of these countries in the near future!

"A great option"

I was a little nervous about booking this option for traveling from Riga to Vilnius. I was a solo traveler in my sixties who doesn’t like tours. I shouldn’t have been nervous at all. It was a wonderful way to make the trip, and to see a few things in between. Our guide, Laura, was just delightful — giving us the background of every site we stopped at and, of course, telling us why her hometown of Vilnius was the most wonderful place in the world. The places we stopped — the Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses, and Kaunas — were varied and interesting. Sufficient time was allotted at each, and we arrived in Vilnius around 8PM, which at least in my mind was perfect. I recommend this.

Our guide / driver was excellent, would highly recommend. Numerous stops along the way, their is some light hiking involved so this trip is not suitable for mobility issues. Would a recommend bringing snacks and water, it is a very long 12h day. The lunch stop was superb after crossing border to Estonia however this comes late in the day 2-3pm.

This day tour was a great experience. The guide is very kind. He asked about our wishes to adapt the tour. We have seen a Lovely little town, have a walk around the gauja river and gone to so many other interesting place. For the lunch, we ate in a restaurant which offers good food for a good price. The guide helped us to choose typical meal and drink. Last but not least, we have talked about latvian situation and culture and he asked question about the place where we live. We had a bad english but he was very patient to repeat slowly when we née it and to understand what we said. So, it was very instructive, plenty of beautiful places and a good human expérience. We had a wonderful day visiting the Hill of Crosses & Rundale Palace. Mikelis was a perfect guide. The history and stories he shared were interesting and informative. The ride didn't seem so long listening to his interesting facts (he even jovially endured a geography quiz from my son). Mikelis never rushed us and was great with the kids. We also enjoyed what the family is now calling "Lunch in Lithuania" at a restaurant that was off the beaten path with delicious food. He was communicative and reached out to me an hour before pick-up to clarify details about the location of our ship. Also, when my father worried he left something in the van, Mikelis was very helpful in rechecking the van for us and even offered to let us come check it ourselves Excellent customer service all around. Do not hesitate to book this tour!

I'm a huge fan of transfer tours, even though they are long days, you get to see and do so much! Laura our guide was lovely and flexible in terms of how/where we spent time (though I would suggest some quiet time in the van as too much music can make it hard to relax/ doze off on the road). I really appreciated the way Laura communicates history in a way that we could understand and remember - we learnt a lot! :) The hill of crosses was a surprisingly interesting stop and we got to see the roses blooming at Rundale. We felt very lucky to have Mike as our tour guide and had fun day out and about in Latvia. The open-air art museum was ok for a stroll but not hugely exciting in my opinion - luckily Mike had a good instinct for what we would find more/less interesting and paced the tour accordingly. So we went on to Kuldiga which for me was the highlight of the tour - lovely town and waterfall, and a nice way to spend some time out of the city. First of all: even if the weather is harsh, don't hesitate to take part in this tour! The guide was funny and knowledgeable, and definitely contributed to make this trip even more pleasant. It's been raining with high wind for most of the day, but, honestly, this made even more interesting the experience at Salaspils and the Hill of Crosses. Of course, if you want to fully enjoy the Rundāle Palace Garden with all of its flowers, it is better to book the tour for a sunny day in May or June. St Peter and St Paul Cathedral in Kaunas is literally a piece of jewelry. All highly recommended!

Laura our guide was absolutely fantastic. This is a must do if you're travelling between the Baltic capitals. Let's you see sights that you would need a rental car to see and turns a mundane bus trip into a great day of sight seeing. Riga to Vilnius was great, highlights were the rose garden at the Baltic version of versailles. Also had a fabulous lunch at a deer farm Audruvis. Restoranas. The venison carpaccio and beet soup were spot on.

Such a fun trip from Riga to Tallinn. I’m so glad we had enough people to do the tour as I can’t imagine my Baltics trip without it. All of the stops along the way are “must see” so this is an excellent way to do a road trip but with a local guide. Laura was so energetic and fun and really exuded love for her homeland and knowledge of the history. We paid to do a quick tour inside Rundale Palace (only the gardens are included in the tour) which is good because it started pouring rain. The time allotted for Kaunas was enough to really take in the old town and see the castle. Highly recommend!

The tour was great. A big shoutout to our guide Mike: he was awesome! He told us many stories about Latvia and Estonia, helped us understanding better the history of these 2 countries, he narrated folk stories about the places we visited, he explained different type of plants and vegetation, etc. he is very knowledgeable and he is also talented: he sang for us a popular song at Viljandi! ( he’s a great at singing!). His English is excellent. The tour was well organized with a good balance between driving time and visiting places. Although the trip is from 9:00 to 21:00, the time went by quickly. Everything was perfect, the only thing I would change is the stop at the War Museum. Although the content is interesting ( and Mike did a great job in explaining things and even shared family stories regarding the Soviet occupation of Latvia) the displays at the museum need some improvement ( the dummies in uniform were a bit outdated) Probably, more time in the nature would be better.

A really great way of making the most of crossing the border. It’s really easy to just think of the cities when visiting the Baltic countries, however there are amazing locations outside of the capitals too and this trip is a really easy way to visit these locations. Our driver/ guide Mike was brilliant. He shared just the right amount of information at each stop and was able to answer all of our questions. We did the Riga to Tallinn sightseeing tour. Guide Mikelis took us for a long day full of sightseeing. We departed on time, the guide was there to greet us. The van was spacy, and very comfortable. We were so glad that we could participate, to enjoy the countryside and to see so much more of both Latvia and Estonia. Started at the bobsleigh track which was fun because we could walk down the track on foot. Soooo funny. The national park with the limestone cliffs was crazy beautiful. The guide explained a lot, let us taste some herbs in nature and he even sang for us. The towns of Cesis and Viljandi both were lovely. Had the opportunity to have lunch in a great restaurant in Valga. For us the least Intresting part was the military museum. But the highlight of the day was that we saw a wild brown bear near the woodlands, just beside the road. Incredible!!!!!! Mikelis was also so sweet to make a stop so I could photography one of the many many stork nests near the farms. I cannot recommend this tour enough, but it wouldn't have been as much fun as we didn't had this fantastic guide Mikelis.Thumbs up guys, keep on the good work!

"A fun and interesting way to travel from Vilnius to Riga"

We were a group of eight friends who decided to use this tour to get to Riga. It was a great decision. We got to visit the town of Kaunas that we otherwise wouldn’t have seen. The stop at the Hill of Crosses was both eerie and interesting. We were then lucky to have the most beautiful light when we got to Rundale Palace. Because we travelled in the very late Autumn, the days were short and saw the most beautiful sunset there. Laura, our guide, was enthusiastic and gave a fantastic energy to the whole tour and agreed without hesitation to try to see Salsapils in pitch darkness. Thanks to one of our friend’s strong photography lighting we got to experience this place in a very different way. It was intensely emotional. All in all, we had fun and saw so much more than we would otherwise. For a great price. Thank you!

Visited Kaunas, hills of crosses, Salaspils Memorial, Rundāle palace and had a nice local food. In the morning when we arrived at the location the tour guide was all ready and good to go. The tour van was comfortable and had nice airconditioning. The tour guide even brought some extra water with her for us. Our tour guide was very excited and energetic, even though it was early in the morning. She also has a good sense of humour. She told us a lot about all kinds of stuff not only history of Latvia and Estonia but also some funny facts about Riga, Estonia and Tallinn. The stops underway are very welcome, not just for stretching your legs but they're also at very nice places where you wouldn't go at first. Liine showed us some sick berry plucking skills. Also the delicious lunch at an extraordinary restaurant was a nice surprise. It is highly recommended to take this tour. You won't be sorry.

"Wordly & religious splendor"

A great mix of a beautifully renovated palace and a pilgrimage site made by & for people (not institutions). Rundale palace is managed with obvious respect for Latvian heritage (e.g. wearing plastic shoe coverings to protect the 1760ies parquet flooring), and its (rose and other) gardens really invite you for a post-visit stroll. The Hill of Crosses is unlike any other religious site I've visited before, is still expanding, and - although there were many tourists, the atmosphere still felt 'real'. Definitely 2 sites I'd recommend visiting during a Baltics trip!

"Wonderful Midsummer excursion"

We had the first tour for Traveller Tours for the season due to coronavirus, and it was wonderful. Because no one else had booked we ended up with a private tour and had Ruta as our guide. She was a smart and kind guide and very patient with our 1 and 3 year olds. She was also proud to be Lithuanian and that was fun to see the Baltic pride and learn from a local. We loved the sights included in the Riga-Vilnius tour and thought the country side of both countries was stunning: lush, green, and in full bloom at this time of year. We were lucky to be ok to travel here from Helsinki and recommend seeing these underrated countries with this excellent tour.

As I understand it, the easiest way to get from Vilnius to Riga is to take a bus, and if all you care about is getting from Point A to Point B, I imagine the bus is fine. But if you are a traveler, and you really want to see more of Lithuania and Latvia than just a brief overview of their capital cities - and if you really want to get an understanding of the countries and the region from people who are from the area - you HAVE to do this sightseeing bus tour! Pickup (and arrival, for that matter) were on-time, but still left the group plenty of time for the scheduled stops (Kaunas; the Hill of Crosses; Rundale Palace). It seems like we had a "bonus" trip, because there was another guide who was actually "playing tourist" that day, so we had two sources of information and opinions to give us the complete story. Very well done, and highly recommended!

"Great day trip to see more of Latvia and Lithuania"

We were visiting Riga during Christmas time and had a great day trip to visit Rundale Palace, and it was an opportunity to cross into Lithuania and visit the Hill of Crosses. Anna was an excellent host - she was very pleasant and full of information about the Baltic countries and the similarities and differences in the cultures and histories. We asked a lot of questions during the drive between sites. The sites are interesting, but we got more out them with the background and context that Anna provided. We had a very enjoyable lunch in a local Lithuanian restaurant to round out the trip.

Our guide Anna was knowledgeable, fun and informational . Despite the shortness of daylight and one of the museums being closed our day was full. The park with the sand cliffs was a nice hike and break from driving. A trip well worth taking to see the country side of Latvia and Estonia. We appreciated Anna helping with directions to our apartment in Tallinn!

The best tour ever made. Apart from the interesting stops during the trip we learned a lot from our guide. He explained very well the history of Latvia and Estonia. "Touring in Winter"

We are seniors and enjoyed this trip, the guide/driver was both entertaining and knowledgeable. We prefer to travel in winter so the tourist numbers are manageable, no queues etc however the down side of this tour is that the sites we stopped at were either closed or we arrived in darkness. The nature walk in Gauja National Park was excellent we arrived during daylight so we explored extensively in the time we had. The Valga military museum was closed but our guide had telephoned ahead and the curator opened the doors to us. It was really interesting a snap shot of what happened in the Soviet era. About ½ hours drive from the Tallinn drop off we visited, in pitch dark the remnants of a castle? We couldn’t take pictures so we don’t really have a record. FYI we travelled Vilnius to Riga by Express LUX bus as the sightseeing tour bus was not available, it was very cheap. €28 single. Punctual and comfortable with Wi-Fi and movies. Frankly we would have cancelled the Riga-Tallinn trip if we had taken the Vilnius - Riga sightseeing tour bus. I bet this is a most lively trip in summer with a full bus! We are glad we did it!

After doing the Tallinn to Riga tour this was was equally good. Comfortable minibus with plenty of room, friendly chatty guide and interesting stops - and a great lunch stop at a deer farm, delicious food and reasonable value. Christmas tree in Kaunas was something else!

This trip was so much fun. We stoped at the Olympic bobsled track, which was awesome, hiked through part of a national park next to a river, stopped at a war museum and a couple of interesting towns. Lunch was at a local cafe. Our guide was informative and a fun road trip driver. My husband and I really enjoyed our day - long but fun!

I felt like I really learnt something, as I don't normally like the mere passive sightseeing, knowledge is important too! Five destinations in a day to know amazing fall landscapes, included a rare gem in Valga, the war museum. More than a transfer between Riga and Tallinn sharing experiences with a group of maximum 8 people. We were driven and assisted by Daumants, a brilliant young Latvian that had to be till late with us as we had got a little stop at a gas station and because of the rain he was so kind of leaving us beside our hotel in Tallinn. We were a group of four friends that had just a week to visit Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. This tour made us to know more than Vilnius or Riga, making friends and assisted by Laura, who was very close and nice. We liked the places we visited in a minivan for 8 people. You are allowed to talk, to drink or eat in the minivan and the fact of being just 8 provided us agility and comfort.

Tour was well organised and I could visit places that I wouldn’t reach by public transportation. Salaspils concentration camp was really interesting for me, a WW2 enthusiastic. Also, Hill of Crosses is something that you don’t see everyday. Tour is a interesting way to move from one Baltic capital to another and visiting places in between.

Ok, my opinion could be affected by the fact that everyone on this tour was extremely nice: starting from Laura, our funny and exuberant guide, to the other amazing travellers with whom I soon formed a little family! "Authentic Baltic State Experience "

The trip increased our understanding of this region and the tour guide Lamas was extremely informative and helpful. Instead of big cities, we loved the rural countryside and small towns we passed through. The ride was comfortable. A suggestion would be to streamline stops at sites to allow more daylight in the last two hour segment, especially at this time of year. We are older and Lamas was understanding of our needs.

It was a joy to travel with my driver/guide, a fresh and knowledgeable young women. I learnt so much about the region, its history, culture, economics etc which would not have been possible by any other mode of travel. In this case it was one on one and for me very much worth it. I felt relaxed and able to ask questions at any point. The choice of highlights was spot on from the sobering Salaspils Memorial, the beautiful Runsdale palace, the Hill of Crosses to Kaunas and its charm and history. The Lithuanian countryside and its agriculture was also most interesting to me. Breaks were well timed with an enjoyable time over a meal at a deer farm and some time on my own allowing me to photograph and reflect on things seen. Kamile gave me a lot of helpful information for my time alone in Vilnius enhancing considerably my time spent there. Thank you!

Rundale Palace is a lovely czarist summer palace without the crowds of St. Petersburg and with wonderful rose gardens. It has only been open to the public for 5 years, so I expect that additional restoration work is planned for some of the rooms that don’t have the glitz of the fully restored rooms. The Hill of Crosses was very moving. Our tour guide, Laura, was amazing: very knowledgeable, outgoing and interacted so well with us. Her English is excellent and she projects her voice loud enough that she could be heard throughout our van.

Loved every minute of this tour. It’s a long day but worth it. Our guide Ruta was brilliant. Great knowledge and answered all our questions. She also took care of all our needs - comfort stops, lunch stop and coffee stop. We visited all the places listed and our guide gave information at each point. It’s also a great way to meet fellow travelers we had representatives from Thailand, Hong Kong, Brazil, Mexico and ourselves from Ireland. Ruta was a great driver and we could judge this as we rode up front. Very calm and safe. If you are considering this method of travel go for it you won’t regret it.

The guide/driver was very informative in terms of his knowledge and communication skills, this being in English, and he was able to answer any questions posed by the group. My girlfriend and I took the Traveller Tours trip from Vilnius to Riga last week. It was a minibus of up to 8 and we were a full complement. The minibus and driver/guide arrived at the designated collection point early and introduced herself to us all and made us very welcome. It was clear from the outset our guide, Ruta, was enthused and full of passion. She spoke with great enthusiasm and exceptional knowledge about her country’s history - you certainly would not have thought that English wasn’t her first language her description being in great detail. All in all a great way to travel between these beautiful cities and to gain an appreciation of their history as well as to visit several interesting places en route. Would thoroughly recommend.

The sightseeing bus from Vilnius to Riga is amazing, there is no better way to travel between the two. Interesting stops along the way make the long distance seem short. Our tour guide was Laura. She is professional from warming us up to sharing with us what we are supposed to know about the scenes and history throughout the tour. What's more, she's an excellent driver, making the travel comfortable. Concerning the tour spots, I would suggest adding another half-hour stay at Kaunas. All in all, I highly recommend this to everyone planning to travel from Riga to Vilnius.

"Money well spent"

We upgraded to the private transfer (Riga to Vilnius) as we wanted to visit some different attractions (and also spend more time at some) to those on the group departure and it was well worth the extra expense. Beatrice met us at our apartment a few minutes early in a spacious van for a brief stop at Salaspils Memorial for a very brief stop as it started to rain. Beatrice was then able to time our stops at Rundale Palace and Hill of Crosses for longer stays while the sun was out and then drive during the rain (using a weather app we assume). We also had an extended stop in Kaunas where we visited the main churches, Beatrice showed us her favourite street art and then also visited Ninth Fort before proceeding to Vilnius, where Beatrice also assisted us in communication with the apartment owner. Overall it was like travelling with a friend rather than just a guide.

Such a great tour. I couldn't think of a better way to explore Latvia and Lithuania. All the stop of points were of interest to the whole group and as we were on a private tour, Mike showed great flexibility in the schedule to tailor the day to us. This tour is the best way to travel from Riga to Vilnuis. Ruta our driver/guide was so knowledgeable and in the nicest way she took us to places where we would have had to organise a day tour from one or the other of the cities. We and five others were taken to Salaspils, the Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace etc. We enjoyed a nice lunch and the good company of people from other parts of the world and I would highly recommend travelling with this company. This was the 2nd tour we have done with Traveller Tours and I wish they had tours going into Poland. Much better than trains.

I must say that I was really lucky to take this fantastic tour to Tallinn from Riga. More so, it was enjoyable and remarkably fascinating because of our guide, Elina (whom we actually privileged to call Ellie), who took all the necessary steps to make it a remembering one. Not only she narrated the contemporary history but also she was through about it. With joy, laughter and happy moments prevailed through out the tour we even celebrated the Birthday of one of the group members on the way to Tallinn. A big thumbs up for Traveller tour and Elina !! What a great way to get from Riga to Tallinn! Yes, I could have taken a much quicker trip on a direct bus, but I would have missed seeing so much of the lovely countryside in Latvia and Estonia--places that are definitely off the beaten track. And I wouldn't have had half the fun I did with our charming and enthusiastic guide, Hannes, and the nice group of travelers from Brazil, Germany, the UK and Spain. From slightly rigorous forest hikes to walkabouts in historic towns to a whacky tour of the former Soviet bobsled training facilities, it was a day packed with both the fun and the serious. We also had a lovely lunch at a handsome country restaurant. Hannes was witty and good about keeping us all together. This was a great opportunity to learn tall tales and dig into the very complex history of the Baltics.

This was a brilliant, comfortable way to get between Riga and Tallinn, but more than that it allows you to experience more than just those city centres. Our guide was so knowledgeable and never rushed any part of the tour (in fact all the timing was perfect). The minivan was very spacious (which I had worried about as I'm tall and leg room is always an issue - but not this time!) and the restaurant and meal halfway was also lovely. I would highly recommend. Unfortunately we had bad weather for half the day but Sten carried on regardless and we got the best experience possible. Thanks TravellerTours.

Rather than taking the direct bus from Riga to Tallinn, this is the best way to explore both countries outside the city centre. Our guide, Katrin is very friendly and knowledgable in explaining the histories of both countries and also all the attractions that we visited. She is also a very safe driver and prepared some umbrellas in case it is raining. I don't feel rushed and she is very flexible with time. On top of that, she has helped us above and beyond when my mom left her bagpack in one of the attraction sites. She makes sure that the bagpack is delivered to us the next day! We were trully appreciative of her efforts in helping us. She has truly displayed an excellent representation of Estonian who is kind hearted! The other guide, Andres who voluntereed to get the bagpack and deliver it to us is truly a star! We will remember Estonia with sweet memories not only because of the beautiful attractions that the country has but also the kind hearted people!

Found this company and tour on line and it sounded really good so booked! Everything was just as described and ran like clockwork but without any hassle or rushing, a great day in a wonderful holiday in Riga and Vilnius. Kamile provided just the right amount of information and we had time to explore on our own. A bonus was meeting all the others in our group, all different ages, nationalities and backgrounds. "Kuldiga - the best tour of our two week stay"

We were met on time by our excellent and friendly tour guide Mikelis. We had the opportunity to see the real countryside of Kurzeme travelling through pine forests and open farmland with rustic old farms some long deserted. At every point Mikelis made admission to places effortless for us. We enjoyed the museum of cloth dolls in Sabile and the local owner showed us many of the old relics of the past. We climbed to the top of the vineyard in Sabile for a spectacular view from one of Latvia's 'mountains'. Munching an apple, we reflected on the war and bloodshed which had taken place here in the past. On to Kuldiga and lunch of authentic Latvian dishes cooked perfectly and a modern presentation in a wonderful restaurant complete with jazz music. We walked around Kuldiga's old, unchanged cobbled streets and churches. before Mikelis took us down to the widest waterfall in Europe. The local museum which is free to enter was a calm and fascinating trip back in time. Do not miss this gem. Mikelis allowed us as much time as we wished at the sites and although we had no English we were able to discuss the experiences of his parents and grandparents in the Soviet era as we described the escape of my wife's mother, uncle and grandmother during the 2nd world war. We could not have wished for a better tour nor for a better tour guide in Mikelis. We learned much more about Latvia in one day than we had in the previous 10 days.

We had the best day exploring Lithuania and Latvia with Laura, she was really fun and informative, and gave us a great history of the places that we visited. The group was small which meant that we got to know each other really well, and the van was comfortable for such a long drive. I'd go back to the Baltics just to do another of these tours! When you stay in Riga and want to get out of the beautiful city, definitely go on this tour. Jurmala is a very nice and beautiful area close to Riga with lots of hidden, and amazing spots, which you won't find on your own. Our guide Mikelis was amazing, and we learned a lot from him about Jurmala and Latvia itself. It was also very nice seeing him again, since we already went on another tour with him last year (bus tour from Riga to Tallinn). We opted for a private tour as it was more flexible. In particular, we had visited Sigulda for a full day (by train from Riga - recommended) so we asked to skip Sigulda and spend more time at Cesis Castle (also recommended.) Note - Elina said that even on a full tour, the guide can do that if everyone agrees. Elina was full of information and had excellent conversational English. Even if you are on the small group tour (about eight people, max nine), travelling between Riga and Tallinn this way allows you to see a lot more of the country outside the capital cities.

Took the tour from Riga to Vilnius. Stops included: Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses and Kaunas. Along the way there was a stop for lunch (pay for yourself). Overall the tour was extremely well done, there was ample opportunity to explore at each location with the guide providing some history and information at each stop. Our guide was also top-notch and was able to not only give a great rundown of the history for each location but was also able to add some personal anecdotes. Would highly recommend as a way to get between cities while being able to see some of the countryside.

"Worth your time."

This was a great alternative to a regular bus from Riga to Tallinn. The tour was in a new minibus with only 6 passengers. The guide was a very good driver, extremely friendly, and knowledgeable about regional history and culture. We stopped at some places that really seemed to give a good representation of rural Latvia and Estonia. Most of the trip was on smaller highways and some dirt roads. It was nice to stop and spend time exploring places that had no other tourists there. I'm from the States and road trips through the country backroads are something that I have always enjoyed. This trip was exactly what I had hoped for. Highlights include: beautiful forests, teutonic castles, medieval towns, war museum, excellent restaurant for lunch, country scenery, and a bobsled track. Worth every penny!

We gathered in Riga and met our fellow travellers from all over the world, and Ruta our driver and guide. First stop was Salaspils prison camp to hear the beating heart monument and see the enormous statues, then Rundale to see the gardens. We enjoyed lunch at a restaurant followed by a visit to the astonishing Hill of Crosses. We stopped at Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania, before arriving in Vilnius in the evening. Ruta was informative and entertaining, telling us lots about the history of the places we visited, and joining in the jokes and banter in the mini-bus. Well worth taking the time to travel on this tour. Can highly recommend this trip.

This tour is a great way to see Latvia and Lithuania attraction while getting from Riga to Vilnius. It would've taken us 4 separate trips from Riga and Vilnius to see all of the attractions we have covered in one day. Our guide Kamile was very informative, upbeat and also had a good balance of quiet and tour time. Our 16 yo son was engaged and it is hard to please them at that age. I would also give huge praise to Kamille for being super helpful when we couldn't get into our hotel since we arrived late. When I couldn't reach hotel mgmt, I panicked and call the only person I knew in Vilnius at that time. Kamille was happy to help and went on looking into other available hotels even if that was not part of her job.

The tour is very well worked out. The huge sculptures at Salaspils are amazing, and you'll never see anything like the Hill of Crosses anywhere else in the world. Four of us booked this tour and even with the maximum eight, the bus wasn't too cramped. It sounds like a long bus journey but its neatly divided by four stops, two in Latvia, two in Lithuania so doesn't feel too onerous. All three sightseeing stops were great and few people around. Lunch was the fourth! Laura gave us plenty of information on each stop and general history of both countries. She was also an excellent driver! Would recommend.

This one way bus trip is the perfect day trip. It allows you to see little known countryside towns you would otherwise never experience. It also still advances you trip rather than using a whole day only to end up back where you started. Ahhhh.. I couldn’t exactly put into words how happy and contented we are. It was an AMAZING tour with LAWWWWRA (Laura)! She’s amazing 😉 There are no dull moments at all. She’s informative, energetic, friendly and obviously witty (Oh, and a great singer,too! 😉) We travelled for about 11 and half hours with 5 stops including the lunch and I will tell you guys, paying 65€ for a full day tour is all worth it!! Had a long but thoroughly enjoyable day travelling from Riga to Vilnius via the Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses and Kaunas. Our stop off for lunch was also good, the meal was tasty and good value. The eight-seater transport was very comfortable and air-conditioned and the itinerary interesting, but the real star was our guide Laura, from Lithuania. It's not often you meet a guide so energetic, knowledgeable, friendly and with near-perfect English. Such a lot of fun too, an absolute gem. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone, many thanks Laura!

Overall it was a great tour and the tour guide was fantastic. The biggest downside, if you have a group of 8, two people will be smashed in the front seat. That's three deep for more than 12 hours. It is not comfortable and something I wish I knew beforehand.

First stop at the Salaspils monument and museum at the Nazi punishment and labour camp. Very moving site where you can hear an eternal heartbeat. Rundale palace was magnificent with awesome gardens. Hill of Crosses was amazing with over a million crosses of all sizes. Last stop at Kaunus with time to walk around the park and old town. Our guide (so sorry can't remember his name) was a very good driver and was very informative and made the trip interesting. Arrived in Vilnius a little earlier than expected amidst the 30 year Baltic Way celebrations.

We had an amazing journey with our guide and the pleasant group that was created. In a few hours we experienced particular things that we wouldn't ever seen without the tour, in particular the Gauja park, Cesis Castle and the fantastic typical lunch. An unexceptionable note is Uku, our guide: a knowledgeable and a very polite boy who took care of us for all the tour's duration making our trip unforgettable; he is also a good driver! In our opinion the only thing we would avoid is the visit to the war's museum because it's too tiring and not visiting it would reduced the duration of the trip.

The small group of 8 people is a plus: we made friends with almost all of the participants. Nice tour going through interesting sites. Kamile our tour guide was really cool, telling us stories and the story about Lithuania and Latvia and giving us tips for our stay in Riga. I would prefer to exclude Kaunas from the tour and add more time at the Rundāle Palace (as I personally like to explore the cities with more time) but apart from that all was fine.

It was a very enjoyable day with a lot of sightseeing with good company and a fantastic guy whose English was impeccable. We made about 9 stops through the journey. We had a late lunch, but very delicious in a little hotel with plenty of hunting trophies at the border town of Estonia. They guide was very good and approachable who had a very good knowledge of history of the Baltic States.

What a fantastic day from Riga to Tallinn! Anna was our guide, and she is wonderful. She is talkative, positive, and knowledge. I absolutely loved the stop at the bobsled track, where we got to watch lots of Russian athletes use the track. I absolutely LOVED that we were able to stop for coffee and lunch along the route. I would have been miserable otherwise! I was a solo traveler and we had multiple solo travelers on the trip, which made it very enjoyable. I would have liked to visit the castle in Cesis, but that is really the only thing that I missed. I would like to explore your other options for tours in different countries. Where I can find this information?

This is definitely the BEST way to transfer between Riga and Vilnius - with four really interesting and varied stops along the way - the Salaspils memorial, the beautiful Rundale Palace (the largest in the Baltic states), the unique Hill.of Crosses, and the very pretty former Lithuanian capital of Kaunas. A lovely lunch stop is also included - venison steak excellent. Our guide and driver Kamile was bubbly, chatty, informative and pleasant - despite having to drive 450 kn in a day! The only suggestion I would make for improvement is that possibly a little longer could be given time-wise at the Rundale palace for those travelers who want to see inside the palace in addition to having a look around the beautiful gardens.

We were very lucky with our guide Kamil, she was very helpful, informative, jolly, funny and a good driver too. The stops we made were enjoyable and helped to break the journey. We particularly liked the bob sleigh stop and the national park. It would have been fun to go down the bob sleigh run on bicycles, but we understand the need for health and safety !! We recommend the tour highly especially as Kamil was kind enough to stop to let us off early in Tallin so we were closer to our hotel. Very helpful.

After travelling from Vilnius to Riga with the Sihghtseeing Tour Bus, we continued the trip a few days later from Riga to Tallinn with the same tour operator, but different group, different tour leader and of course different route with different stops. This time: a sport site (bob and luge track in Sigulda), a romantic old town (Cesis), a walk in the national park (Gaujas), a military museum (Valga) and castle ruins (Viljandu). Entrance fees were included. Our tour leader was Estonian. He talked a lot about his home country and its history, but didn't know much about Latvia. In one case I even think he mixed up Latvia and Lithuania. Also the announcements (how long will we stop here?) were not always audible in the car. What is spoken in the drivers seat can not always be heard in the back. This is the reason for the missing fifth star. Besides this, the tour was fun. Of course it is a long day and near the end the country roads get a bit boring. However it is the perfect way to travel from Riga to Tallinn if you are not only looking for a transfer but for information, experience and nice company. Definitely recommend!

When you are on your tour through the Baltic states and want to travel from capital to capital, the Sightseeing Bus is the right choice if you do not only want to get from A to B, but if you want to see more of the region, learn about the sites and meet other people (but not too many). Our tour from Vilnius to Riga was perfectly organised. The four sites to visit were quite different: a historic city center (Kaunas), a religious pilgrim place (hill of the crosses), a baroque palace (Rundale) and a memorial site (Salaspils). Entrance fees were included. Ruta was a good and safe driver. I liked her diverse taste for music and the variety of musical styles that we heard during the trip. What really makes her stand out as a tour guide (and we have seen many) is her anticipation of the guests' needs. She answers before the question arises. All explanations were clear and precise, and she explained a lot, always adding a humouros note. Her enthousiasm is great and covered all sites in both countries. Definintely recommend! The special gift at the end of the trip: a city map of Riga with recommendations written by locals. However, it is from last year and already partly outdated, as some of the described cafes no longer exist.

We did the bus tour Riga-Tallin. Laura was our guide/driver. A great experience: we just needed to travel one-way from Riga to Tallin and we decided to book the tour instead of a conventional bus or train ticket. We spent a nice and funny day. The tour is well organized, no rush and you can merge a transfer trip with a visit of some of the best Latvian and Estonian location. A special thanks to Laura (she is really one of the most energetics and positive person I have ever met) who was able to entertain us during the whole trip. Totally recommended and a must-go trip if you have to travel through Baltic capitals

In a comfortable new 9-seat van we get an excellent tour not only about countryside between Riga and Tallinn, but also an historical&cultural overview with all its details about development of populatian,language, traditional food, music etc. Private story of family and experiences of our guide added to the normal facts made it very special. I loved the tour and the company. If you want a nice trip between Riga and Tallin rather than a boring journey I would recommend it. Small negative I felt the tour guide was more interested in Estonian history than Latvian and we could have had more historical detail. Not sure about the military museum as I have an aversion to nationalism and militarism and the exhibits were only labelled in Estonian. It was interesting however to learn about Estonia’s struggle for independence. Lunch in Valga was great food. Other highlights were the Gauja national park and Viljendi.

While organizing our Baltic holidays we found out there are not many options to travel between Vilnius and Riga, and this tour probably is the best one! We could travel confortably and safely while visiting some interesting places we would have not be able to reach by ourselves (some of them we actually didn't even know of, like Salaspils Memorial which turned out to be our favourite one!). Ruta was a perfect guide and gave us all the basic infos about the places, without making it too long and boring. At first I wasn't really happy to find out Trakai was taken out of the tour, but now I can easily see it perfectly makes sense as it's very easy to visit by yourself, and would have taken too much time away to all the other places, which are a bit rushed already. Even if you're not a "social" person, the Van is large and confortable so you will have all the "personal space" you will need. My husband and I surely recomend this tour as the best way to move from Vilnius to Riga!

Combining inter-city travelling, and rural sightseeing, is a great concept. We left Vilnius with Ruta at the wheel, and stopped at 4 very different places in rural Lithuania and Latvia. Ruta's knowledge and passion about her homeland made it an informative journey, and the group of 8 international travellers is enough to be comfortable. Highly recommend this trip.

We travelled as a group of six, from Hong Kong and Japan,. Although we have not been lucky in terms of weather (cloudy and rainy), we were very lucky to have Kamile as our guide. The tour itself was very well balanced in where to stop and what to see; we enjoyed the coutryside and learned a lot about the history of both Latvia and Lithuania. Kamile was also extremely helpful when, at the end of the tour at Vilinius, the hosts of one of our Airb&bs were quite irresponsible and our friends could not enter the apartment. She helped us communicate with the hosts by phone and although it must have taken longer than usual, she's dropped us all at our respective lodgings. Thank you so much! I highly recommend this mode of travel as it is much more fun than flying.

Ruta is an excellent tour guide. Our first stop was Salaspil, Latvia which was a Nazi camp. However, as we well know while the Soviets were building this Memorial Park, they (Stalin...Brezhnev) were shipping Latvians to Siberian Gulags. ¿Why haven't the Latvians built some Memorial here to all the Latvians that disappeared during the Communist Era. Or: ¿Is Latvia Still under Soviet Control?

We thought the visit to the military "museum" was completely unnecessary as it is very poor and there's really nothing interesting there. Also we were horrified that they sold nazi uniforms there.

Tour was great and so was the guide. I am aware that visit to Trakai was recently taken off the scope of this tour. But I think instead of Rundale Parish, Trakai still would be a better alternative. The Parish is nothing other than an old mansion on a poor garden. I believe that part should be reconsidered. Other locations were cool places to visit and our guide was really amazing. This was a great tour to make the most of the day travelling between Vilnius and Riga. We had various stops at interesting historical sites in Lithuania and Latvia (as well as a rest stop for WC use and snack buying). Kamile was open to all questions and clearly communicated to the group the timeline for the day. There is a lunch break but it is good to come prepared with some snacks for the morning and afternoon rides.

"A fun, unconventional tour from Vilnius to Riga"

From our friendly, knowledgeable guide Kamile to our interesting co-travelers, this was a fun and informative series of visits from Vilnius to Riga. The most powerful one was in Salaspils where Kamile shared her own family’s suffering at the hands of the Soviets. It spurred a fascinating discussion linking the horrors of the Holocaust to those of Soviet occupation. One of the guides from a companion group joined us, adding much to the give an take, There was much to learn and much to acknowledge. But there was also the opportunity for interesting and friendly chat over a tasty lunch. Our group was very international, representing 3 continents. Many thanks also to Kamile who offered to drop us off at our hotel at the end of the ride. Much appreciated since we were the “old folks” among these wonderful, youthful travelers. Great to have all the stops along the way, but really missed not going to Trakai. Would have traded Kaunas for that experience, for sure.

Nice trip with 2 interesting stops in small village. Interesting to see the landscape and nature especially with our guide karolis, who is an nature expert!

We had such a spirited tour guide, Laura, who made all the difference. She was knowledgeable and her energy levels were so good! So, all the stops we made along the way were right up my alley - the holocaust memorial, the hills of crosses, the palace on the Latvian Lithuanian border. The whole trip was my money's worth. You guys should seriously considering charging more because it is so worth it. The lunch halt was also in a very nice restaurant. In all it's for whoever wants to see the Baltics in its raw beauty.

I really enjoyed the tour, it was so much better than going straight from Riga to Tallinn. We were a small group of 6, we had several stops on the way to discover the inner lands and Andres our guide was amazing giving us plenty of information and anecdotes with lots of sense of humor. I definitely recommend it!

Got to see a lot of Estonia and Latvia I otherwise would have missed. Guides were friendly and fun.

"Fun, facts and not so many freeways"

As an alternative to flying or getting the coach between capitals, this is great. The journey times between stops are very manageable (with plenty of toilet stops for those who need it), the bus is comfortable and roomy, and the places you visit are varied and interesting. The highlight for me was the Salaspils Memorial Ensembe. Beatrice was a great driver and guide, and she has a wonderful singing voice! Lucky to share the journey with some wonderfully interesting fellow travellers.

Really great time with Robert going from Riga to Tallinn. Really enjoyed Robert’s knowledge on local history as it added a lot to the experience!

"Great way to get from Vilnius to Riga"

We were a group of five people from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil and Germany traveling with our guide Ruta from Vilnius to Riga. Ruta was a very knowledgeable guide, who was passionate about her home country and gave us los of interesting information on the history and culture of Lithuania and Latvia. She was very pleasant and friendly and always wore a smile on her face. The places we visited are not easy to reach if not by driving, so this was an excellent way to see places I probably would not have seen otherwise. At every stop, Ruta gave us an introduction to the history of the place and then gave us time to roam around and explore by ourselves.

My family and I like the tour very much. Our guide Beatrice is very professional and cheerful. The tour can bring us to several main tourist sites in one day. It did save us lots of time.

I loved Ruta. She is attentive, friendly and does her job very well. The tour is great, but I highlight the Ruinsdale Palace and the Soviet Monument. In the other hand, I just think lunch should be included in the price.

The tour was a great way to travel between Riga and Tallinn and see some of the smaller towns and the countryside outside of the main city. The tour was a great size with only 8 people, it felt very personal. Anna was a great guide and was very knowledgeable.

We took the tour from Riga to Vilnius, and absolutely loved it. Our guide, Kamile, was incredible. She went above and beyond to take care of us and teach us about these places. The stops on the tour were amazing and educational. The lunch that we had was absolutely delicious. We really could not have asked for a better experience. We absolutely recommend these trips to anyone travelling in the region who wants to see and learn a lot.

Rūta was our guide and she was exceptionally great-knowledgeable, accommodative and a good listener. We covered all the places from Vilnius to Riga journey as mentioned in the your. We left on time and reached our destination comfortably. It didn’t seem like a 12 hr journey even though it was! I highly recommend Rūta and her company.

The stops were interesting and Laura was very fun and energetic. However, I think guests should be able to choose whether to visit the garden or the inside of the Rundale palace. For us, the inside was more interesting than the garden (we had seen quite LOTs of palace gardens) and I think if we decide to pay a combo ticket (paying additional cost), the total would be cheaper?

We visited Salaspils memorial, Rundale castle, the hill of croses and Kaunas. Our guide Ruta was great. We had a little bit of free time at every stop. The tour lasted from 9am to 8 pm.

"Seeing the local country side"

In every country, you got to see the hinterland and not just only the capital. Good wat to get a feel of the place. Estonia isn’t a crowded place, but you get a feel of the country and the people. Good thing to do when you need to go to Tallinn and went to see something out of the beaten beaten path.

The tour was very good. We stopped at nice and interesting places. Our tour guide Hannes was a fun person, I can recommend him. Sadly one stop was closed because of a local celebration. I would have liked that they are aware of that beforehand and would plan an alternative stop instead. Thanks Hannes for the fun trip!

Well worth the cost, such an excellent way to get from Riga to Vilnius. Karolis was an excellent guide and it certainly doesn't feel like you are spending 12 hours on a bus journey.

"Nice and fun trip to Riga"

It was my right decision to travel to Riga with Traveller, instead of going by a local bus. The 4 stops are really interesting plus a nice restaurant with good taste and reasonable prices. The most important is the guide, who is Beatrice. She is a wonderful woman. She is funny and super friendly. She entertained the group quite well and gave us enough information, plus she has wonderful voice. However, I also have got a negative comment about my seat. My seat was just next to the driver. Actually, it was so nice to sit next to the lovely driver like Beatrice, However, my seat is so narrow. I couldn't extend my legs through the trip to Riga. I would suggest either to skip this seat or the tour guide should come up with an idea to rotate the seat. (I took the trip from Riga to Tallinn, one of our group suggested doing like this, which was very nice. We all can move around not fix to someone through the trip and fair to the one who sits at the bad seat.

Our guide Laura was one of the most enthusiastic people I've ever met and her energy didn't falter once throughout the day. She tried to teach us a couple of Lithuanian phrases and explain the culture too which was really great to hear from a personal experience rather than from a book or website. The tour was good to see more of Latvia and Lithuania than just the capitals. The Salaspils memorial was worth seeing although very poignant and definitely made you feel the tragedy that occurred there. The only things that could be improved is maybe the guide being slightly quieter at the memorial as it felt a bit uncomfortable her doing the history so loudly as we were walking through. May be better to stop and group us around to talk for this site. Also, there was a lot of Abba on the bus- this may or may not be good depending on your view!

The tour was brilliant. A wonderful way to get from Riga to Vilnius. Our guide was charming, witty, spoke excellent English and could sing. Kept us entertained for the whole trip! I'd certainly do it again.

We were met by our guide, Beatrice, who was welcoming and relaxed. She gave a good overview of the tour, assisted with the stowage of the luggage and got us underway promptly. We visited several places of historical interest, where just the right amount of information was given. The group followed Beatrice's lead and relaxed and joked happily together for the day. Her love of country and delightful personality made the rather long day a very pleasant and informative time for us. Highly recommended tour.
