Jevgeni Senior Tour Guide & King of Carriages

Due to the structural problem of there not being any specialized jobs for Spanish philologists in Estonia (wonder why?), Jevgeni has taken the path less traveled. He spends his days discussing his philosophical ideas about Estonia, life and all other things he knows everything about with unsuspecting tourists.

He is a devoted football fan and believes to hold the formula of key aspects needed to beat Barcelona, but sadly nobody has yet been interested in this alchemy, therefore this will forever be a secret.

With a humorous approach available in four languages, Jevgeni brings the important, interesting aspects and details about the ordinary life of Estonia and Estonians in fascinating ways.

"Tour I had to cancel last year due flight problems"

Second time lucky taking this tour. Glad I made it this time. The whole day was interesting. Especially the walk through the wetlands and the sea museum. Our guide JJ was Personable and had good knowledge of Estonia. I particular liked the options and flexibility he offered.

"Beautiful walks through the bog and on the beaches"

This tour was a great way to see nature outside of Tallinn, both in terms of the walk through the bog and a couple visits to different parts of the coast, Jevgeni did a great job!

"Eye-catching experience"

Spectacular tour just outside Tallinn. We visited the bogs (astonishing colors and landscapes), a waterfall, the forest and the seaside, with stops at a fisherman village and an historic palace. The guide was very knowledgeable and enjoyable, the walks easy and balanced. Strongly suggested!

"Better than we ever anticipated!!!"

Our guide was so friendly and personable! His English was perfect which made conversation flow easily and comfortably. The guide's knowledge of the history of the area was extensive, we learned a great deal, and he could readily answer any questions that we asked. I was surprised by how much we enjoyed the Bog excursion! It was beautiful, interesting, and offered nice exercise. Pärnu was lovely and the patience that our guide showed as my son shopped for the "perfect" Estonian wool sweater is commendable! We had a delicious pizza lunch before continuing to Tallinn. We felt very comfortable asking our guide for a WC stop, temperature control in the van, etc. This was a VERY positive experience and i would highly recommend the tour as a worthwhile way to enhance travel between Riga and Tallinn!! Thank you for a most memorable experience!

"Great day out!"

We had a great day out with Jevgeni on the 26th December 2018. It was so lovely to see a range of landscapes in and around Laheema across the day, especially with someone who knows the way and is used to driving in the snow. Jevgeni was an entertaining and informative guide, and we especially enjoyed the stop at the kiiking swing and the amazing lunch at the Kasmu captain's cottage.

"Just book it already, and get your walking shoes ready!"

The winter version of this tour rocked! Petting a frozen waterfall, hiking through softly silent snowtopped pine tree forests, making our way through the mysterious bog, visiting a lovely small maritime museum with original owners running it and still getting a beautiful coastal sunset view of glacial rocks by the shore. I’m very happy to have taken this tour, super comfortable with good amount of hiking. Jevgeni is a great guide, very local, down to earth, openminded and keen to adjust according to the group’s needs and ideas. On top of that, good humour with good knowledge of all sorts of things. Thank you again! Don’t forget to bring cash for onsite food/snack purchases!
